is there any way to swap turbos>? give them old version and get the new version for a small fee?

Lol I was just at bnr with Bryan. We were talking about some other stuff going on with my shop. But the 2871 new revision is worth it. We installed it on team ss car and flow is the same but it holds boost a we but better till 7500 rpm. And the iat2s were a little lower

I just got my car tuned yesterday with my bnr 2871, but unfortunely one of my brand new in package 3 bar map was defective. So I had to get partially tuned on the stock sensors. Now I have to order new sensor. Anyway my tuner told me based on some of the pulls that the turbo would make about 360hp 410 tq.

That's what I'll be going with, too, in the future. I just want about 385hp/tq on lower boost, but I want it out to the end of band.

to each their own, but if you want a conservative car, then why waste the money on a $2000 turbo, and just keep the stock one?

im looking for over 400whp/400wtq myself through as much of the power band as safely possible

I'll be using stock sensors on mine(they read up to 2.7bar) and I know that I'll be well in the over the 400whp mark.

Because it produces less heat.

Stop your crazy talk :P You can make 360 whp on the stock turbo! It'll last pull after pull after pull too.

There are way too many idiots that think 360 hp on the stock turbo is anything like 360 on a bigger turbo. Likewise too many people on this forum do not understand that bigger turbos mean the torque curve will come on later which means you will never get peak toque numbers like a tiny turbo.

Im a bit over that on E85 and when I get the EFR later on for my built 2.1 I will swap the complete setup out and save my stock engine for just in case

of course the power in an aftermarket turbo is different than the stock turbo, but i just dont see the point in getting it if you arent gonna really utilize it....
and as far as powerband, i believe it has a lot to do with how its tuned, since my car pulls from 3500-5800 @24psi, then only dies to 22.5psi from 5800-6200 redline...just sayin

i really wanna see some numbers/graphs on here...lets see umm

Having 360whp on a ko4 vs say one on a bnr2871 is obviously better with the bnr. Doesn't fall on its face, so therefore power is linear. Looses a little tq. But not much. 360whp on the bnr isn't much but it's not bad. Talking with Bryan I asked what's the flow for the new revision and what I the out put it can safely without going out of the efficiency? He stated 24-26 is within its efficiency anything over its out of its efficiency. But he stated if you go more you can obtain more power which I know but he said 450chp is capabilities with going out of efficiency. So about 420-430 is basic capabilities to the wheel.

People have made more which I have one guy who made 432 whp which was on e47 but it was pushing limits.

I don't think you guys are asking this question right bc I could tell you a GT45R would be the answer but 23psi on one of those could very disintegrate your motor. I think you want to know what's the best turbo for our motor that could make ~400whp at around 23psi on pump gas.

I think a GT3076 would most likely be one answer. The S252 might be in that realm too. I dunno for sure.
