I just seafoamed mine through the intake mani and the looks people gave me at massive cloud were priceless. I had an officer ask me if I modified my exhaust recently or did an oil change. LOL And nobody wanted to follow me either. LOL Good times.

EDIT: If you have SS turbo the hose is already there. No need to buy any new hose.

Thanks, i was actually going to cut some from bulk hosing here at work so the cost is nothing, lol. Plus i didnt wanna run that through a vaccum line that stayed on the car, lol

I usually stall out the engine when I do a sea foam. that way everything is soaked and also hot (normally run the engine up to temp). Makes some nice clouds when it starts up lol

so use the vacuum line off the booster to do this? let the engine suck up 1/3 of the seafoam and then let it sit for 20 mins and restart it to finish?

I was hoping the smoke would be sea foam green or if you got some L.E.D.s you could make a fog / smoke show at your local ricer hangout..

Why would you want to change the plugs after running seafoam? Wouldn't the sea foam actually clean the plugs? I can understand the reasoning for changing the oil in case of blow by.

Update. After a few hours with carb cleaner, picks, and a vacuum I got the valves and intake runners cleaned up.

Unfortunately, with the intake off I could see what was going on alittle bit better. My first leakdown test showed that the intake valves were leaking. With everything cleaned up and another leakdown test done it shows that cylinder 4 still has issues. The number 4 cylinder which has been low on compression has a ring/ringland problem as the leakdown was pushing air into the crankcase. With a dry and cold motor I got 155-162 on 3 cylinders and 110 on cylinder number 4. I added a cap full of oil to cylinder 4 and the number jumped to 151.

Seeing as i'm not ready to be done with this car yet i'll be hitting up ZZP shortly for some pistons, head studs, head gasket, and a few odds and ends. Being the car is a full bolt-on car that's basically waiting for the EFR I can't give up yet

Damn. That's rough. Thanks for the report.

Is your car tuned? If so, by whom?

We took a maxiam random misfires. Checked the compression each were at like 80psi. Put ATF in the head let it sit about 15mins put it all back together cranked it up ran it till it quit smoking out the dealership. Checked compression again and it was at 225. I learned that day that ATF contains cleaning detergents that actually break down carbon and clean out the engine.

The car has been hp tuned for 37k of the 42k miles on the car and I am not easy on the car by any means. I have 64 or 65 dragstrip passes, 22 dyno pulls, and a whole shitload of street beatings. The car has been logged at the track, dyno, and on the street with zero issues.

The last 20k miles have been on 27-28psi and i'm pretty sure I hurt the motor while racing a chick in an srt8 charger. We ran it up well into the triple digit range and the car was holding in the mid 24-25psi in 4th for awhile...after that it just didnt feel right. I added some bolt-on's and went back to the dyno. It was down on power to 309whp while torque was at 389wtq on a dynojet. The car still feels quick on the street as it spins the living crap out of the tires but a recent dragstrip visit only showed a 13.3 at 107.1. It trapped 111.1 with a slipping clutch a few months before and trapped 110mph with a tune and air filter only. It still makes big torque but falls on it's face hence why I did the whole compression/leakdown investigation.

Thanks again. I appreciate the informative post.

I have been in your shoes with my previous car (a turbo'd Spec V). I beat the crap out of it and destroyed a ring land. I feel your pain and share your excitement with the possibility of building it up.

Well, thank you for doing this research. Your loss of power symptoms are similar to mine. It just doesn't pull in the upper rpms(have the hp) like my last car that had 17k miles and less mods and was beat on since the day I got it. Has buttloads of torque tho. Maybe I'll check my compression after all. I was gonna do it tonight but decided to rent "Priest" instead.

I agree with changing the plugs, def cruds them up. And doing the oil afterward wouldn't hurt either!

I installed a vacuum tee in the vacuum line right on top of the intake manifold then ran a line off of that. Keep your finger over the line when not sucking in the seafoam and do a lil at a time. I recommend using a clear glass like I mentioned before so you can watch what you are doing. You DON'T want to suck it in quickly or stall out the car IMO. It should take 3-5 mins to suck in 1/3 of the bottle of Seafoam. Let it idle for another 30-60 seconds after and then shut the car off and wait 10 mins. Start it up, idle it for a min then drive normal for a few mins or until the smoke clears up. It will smoke A LOT LOT LOT LOT LOT lol.. This is normal, don't be alarmed. If you Youtube Seafoam you will find some examples of "the show" lol.

I used wynns air induction cleaner through my brake booster line. I Let the car idle as it sucked up from the bottle slowly. It took about an hour to finish the whole bottle. i know with the wynns induction cleaner they want you to keep the car running because the heat helps break up the gunk better.

You know I do not know if it just the angle on you're pics or not but the far valve in you're pics which may be number 4 looks bent to me? I just cleaned my valves and none were crooked like that one looks in you're pics?

My car must have excessive vacuum, lol (joke). Took it like a minute to suck roughly a 5 oz cup full and it didn't even smoke a whole lot but then again I disconnected the top line on the manifold. This was also lightly dipping the hose in the cup while tilting it to the edge.

That's because you just left the line in the cup lol. You need to do a lil, move it away and put your finger over the line. Then keep repeating slowly until you do the 1/3 of the bottle with it.
