does any one how to set the shift light on the 09 cobalts

does any one how to set the shift light on the 09 cobalts

ive been trying to set the shift light on the 09 cobalt ss.can anybody help?

It doesn't have one, unless you are talking about the rpd. Then it is pretty intuitive, you do it through the settings menu.

There is actually a shift light on the dash. I dont think it is hooked up to anything though but its there.

If you look at the top of the gauge cluster between the tach and speedo there are two lights the one on the right is a "shift light" its in the manual for the car too... But it doesnt do anything on either my 08 sport or my 09 TC

thats becuase that shift lite is used in the XFEs and is there to provide a point to shift for the best economy not performance

this is exactly right. i always wondered why mine doesnt light up.

it would be pretty nice though to have it set at the red line or w/e...... if someone can figure it out it would be a nice how-to.....hint hint
