^^^Good point. Yeh slippage can occur with a fully engaged gear, if the tune is to aggressive and the load is too much for the clutch. What is hard to understand is why are some people having slippage issues and some arent with the exact same setup/tune? The reason is the people that are having issues are either a. having mechanical failure (possible), b.WOT in low RPM range (probable) c.just cant seem to drive a stick properly when racing that srt down a side street (MORE probable). I think we all understand what the OP means by "does trifecta causes slipping" but I just dont see the trifecta tune alone is going to causes your clutch to slip, considering MANY other people are not having problems with the high tq numbers and clutch slipping.

That is probably why my speedometer is 6-7 mph behind as I accelerate.

the only way a tune can cause clutch slipping is because it made your motor so efficient you need a better clutch...this in no way means you need a diff tune but need a better clutch lolololol
that actually just shows how good vince is

No dyno here sorry, but most tuned without other mods are seeing 290 - 300 whp, 320 - 330 wtq. I suspect I'm in that range.

I know the clutch won't slip if I go WOT in 3rd, 4th or 5th at 2500 - 3k. I test it once in a while.

Since the tires break loose on the NLS 1-2 and 2-3 I'm pretty sure it's holding ok there too.

Of course there may be some minimal slippage until the tires let go, but I can't tell it on mine.

Has nothing to do with clutch slip gm has noted these speedos are slow on accel it will do the same thing under normal acceleration, they have a reprogram that doesn't really fix the issue we own a car that the same ipc goes into all the other models wasnt really made to work that fast

Wow..trifecta does not not cause slip as it's been stated...I'm trifecta tuned and my stock clutch holds up fine, no slipping no burning...so trifecta is not the problem, either u suck at driving or it's making too much power, which I'm sure is what u wanted by tuning it....

Interviewstruins burned his clutch to a crisp after a few days of being a fully tuned 2.2sc, had to get a stg2+ spec clutch, I've been sc for almost 2 month on my higher mileage stock clutch...no issues...it's how u drive

ya the way you drive your car has a huge affect on how long everything holds up. the reason i picked trifecta, to talk about, is because obviously they are the most popular tuner but of coarse it doesnt matter which tune it is, any tune can cause clutch slip if the clutch cant handle it. so i get what your saying

well....what this thread made it sound like is that you were calling out vince for ruining your car and seeing if anyone else had the problem...at no time did you make it clear until now you were just using him as an example and btw....the way you say it is still dumb...the TUNE does not cause your clutch to slip...the extra power does...its one of those things that when you tell and pay someone to add power to the car you are taking that chance..you, not them or the tune lol.
what i think you MEAN to say is" now that im tuned, my clutch slips" which is a known issue when you add more power then it can handle lol

I was just kidding. That is why the LOL. I noticed the speedometer lag a long time ago kinda like it goes only 97 in third at 6300 when the calculation say 102-103 at 6300.

Yeah i like that when the speedo says one thing and the tach another so you wait for the tach instead of the damn speedo!!!! We need corvette ipc's that would be better maybe a HUD as well.

sorry for it not being clear i thought that people just assumed because i dont have the tune that i wasnt calling anyone out. and after hearing all the superchips owners made it sound like all the trifecta tune did was cause slipping. so i wanted to hear what the guys that actually had the tune had to say about it.
