down pipe installed! XD

it took about 2 hours but i got it.

bad thing is that i did it while exhaust was hot.

the end of the down pipe, the tri angle piece was ok but the nut on top was hard to get to! and in the sqaure piece on top of the dp was a b**ch to take off too, the one in the corner.

good news is that i got it on and it sounds nice including the turbo whistle but i think im leaking exhaust caUSE the gasket on the triangle part is kinda crooked.....gay, all that hard work, shoulda went the extra mile....

but ya, anyone else got a dp on yet? how did u take off the stock one?

from the fact that you were so anxious to install this part, you did so while your exhaust was hot, I can guess you prolly did a shitty job hooking it up. And from that, I would guess.. just guess... that your assumption about an exhaust leak is true. I mean.. in your own words, you seem to regret it. "Should have went extra mile" ... After you install something sweet like a downpipe....you should never be stating to yourself "I should have went the extra mile" lol

Never good to half ass something, let alone work on your beautiful SS/TC (Extra careful with performance parts vs. cosmetic)

the exhaust being warm probally made it a little easier to get the bolts off.

This is not exactly true. The heat actually expands the metal, making it harder to get off (especially on newer vehicles). Not to mention the possibility of multiple burns.

I was going to flame on this exact reason too.. didn't feel like explaining a 7th grade physics lesson over the internet however.

jpizzle, ill get a video for tonight of me at the track and then u can beat ur meat XD

and so far, my car has not thrown any codes. ive been flooring the hoe all night and this morning and no codes have been thrown.

i like it alot but my car seems like its slower now. maybe its just the sound/ cause i have a small leak in the end of the down pipe cause the gasket is crooked
