Electronic Boost controllers

Educate me on which one is best. While the manual does excellent i have been looking at an electric controller for ease of use in the cabin(yes i could mount the manual inside, but no).

What options do i have out there? How is the Turbosmart E-boost 2? Is there better? Assume price limit is $1k for this part. Educate me and give me options.

I always loved my old greddy profec b. they are pretty damn good and the newer ones are even better. I think they are ~$400 I could be wrong on that though.

The AEM Tru Boost is pretty nice. Just a lil difficult to setup because you can designate a progressive boost ramp and etc.

Yeah i like the progressive ramp for a few reasons.

Been thinking of pulling the trigger on a built block, GTX3582r, and the controller.

I really like my greddy profec spec b. Its nice to keep the external dump all the way closed till 20 psi, really helps with spool!

Thats the AEM TruBoost. A friend of mine has it on his SRT 4. Works really well, just a bit difficult setup as far as programming from what he told me.

I know right? But i am getting accustomed to the current setup. The fiancee isn't having the idea of a Ariel Atom after i looked at one. Since we now share finances i cant just run out and buy what i want. Even though i thought buying her a new car was going to let me get what i wanted.

However, she is cool with me getting a new ATS-V when it comes out as it has a/c and she would want to ride in it. So if i have a ATS-V the cobalt can be pretty ridiculous.

Just gonna need more fuel...

That's why you have your own stash that she doesn't see or know about...

yeah, it will fit there but I'd prob still get a triple pod pillar for two interceptors or an interceptor and a oil pressure gauge or something like that.

1k for a boost controller? why not go with the best...

AMS-1000 Boost Controller

this is what the big boys run... theres also an MSD box that is amazing but you need a degree in rocket science to program it.

I have thought about the AMS 1000. What MSD box are you talking about? I thought there wasn't anything for our coil-on-plug setup.

your right. i have the ZZP dual gauge pod with my AEM wideband and matching AEM boost gauge. thinking of selling the boost gauge and getting the TRuboost, also have a dash pod that i brought off a forum member which i was planning on adding 1 interceptor to it.

I'm not happy with the AEM unit being on 29psi max capable. If you want more you have to grab a different map sensor which I assume throws the tune you have into the garbage.

^^No....its only a map sensor for the aem unit. Doesn't affect the tune.
