Engine Ground Strap - Where is it located?

I thought i had an alternator problem, but i think the person that worked on my car didn't know what he was doing and either routed it wrong, or just didn't connect it at all. Where is the grounding strap located on our cars (08+cobalt ss), and where does it run to?

Thanks!

I remember seeing a ground underneath the driver side headlight. You have to remove the headlight and bracked and you will see it there. Not sure if there are any more though.

I think i've seen that one, and it looked connected.
I could just be screwed and need a new alternator. Only 27k miles too. damnit.

Update:
Still having charging problems (glad i have two cars). Is this the proper routing for the grounding strap running under the driver-side headlight?
Also, what should be the routing for wires running off the Alternator?

It really shouldn't matter if the connection is good. Metal is metal.

Just checked it all over again. Power wire retaining nut on the bottom of the alternator is loose as hell. Wire isn't making good contact. Can't believe i missed that.
Thanks for the help/input/pictures guys! It really got me under the car and looking!
