HP Tuners. My torque curve is smooth flat and broad. Broad powerband is greater than big peak numbers any day.

so later in the day they figured out how to attach the coil pack torque converter to my car. So after everyone else ran, i got one more attempt at the dyno.

I had my friend (kennyspec) run a data log. I turned infniboost on..and had at her...best part was when Chris the guy organizing the dyno turned to the crowd and said "he made ALOT more"

Big thanks to Trifecta Performance, as well as Motion Performance for holding the dyno daying and being so generious.

I belive these numbers put me at the highest torque on stock turbo. As well as impressive HP numbers.

(posting pics/vids now...)
so your saying that the dyno is making **** up then.....

horsepower is derived from torque, as torque is a measurable force where as HP is a work formula.

you need the force(torque) and RPM to find HP. with out a coil pack pick-up the dyno does not know the engine RPM accurately, thus you cant find accurate HP.

torque could be found off the load cell, but nothing more, and not at accurate/reputable RPM point.

you can not have power with out torque, its fact. thus i find this dyno and its numbers to be suspect of tom foolery.

how does one run the tune once, and get low numbers, then go back to run it again and make more power?

something does not compute here.

I would recommend sticking with the safier LNF tune.
ive seen a few factory cars do this under load occasionally. i dont think its the tune really but i could be wrong.

Yeah, Vince's tune tricks the ECM somehow in order to achieve higher boost than HPtuner guys can get currently.. couldn't give you the down and dirty technical jive on it, but that's more or less what he's doing..

Its just MAP sensor rescaling. I think HPT is releasing that next... but god knows.

Not true actually. I have my overboost and underboost turned off with HPTuners and all I have to do is buy a manual boost controller and I could run that much boost, but I like my powerband.

my powerband is fine. if it dropped off the map id be in trouble..but its over 300 all the way to 6500

Well yeah of course you can control it with a manual boost controller, but you can not through programming the ECM in HPTuner yet like trifecta currently does.. It's just that much more hardware you need, and more money needed to be spent with a manual controller install.. Definitely works no doubt though.. I'm not bashing HPTuner by any means man, you guys have obviously proven you can get some big numbers out of these cars just statin an observation about the CURRENT HPT limitations..

So, when HPT unlocks whatever tables allow us to overboost, would I be able to run a solid 24 psi to redline? None of this spiking crap. IIRC our turbo is efficient at 24 psi, right?

terminators powerband would own on the auto-x course. but why do you rev it to 7000rpm. its not making anymore power. I do understand that it would be beneficial to hold it out that long for the next gear but i would be afraid of NLS at 7000 rpm. you could have a nice powerband at 6700 rpm and retain the NLS, wouldnt that be more beneficial?? or do you nls at 7000 lol

I lift when I shift and I rev higher than 6800 because my 1st and 2nd gears are over too quickly LOL. I make good power until about 7200. It drops to 300 whp at 7400.
