Error code P0107

Does anyone know what could be causing this code P0107. I put in a new MAF and I still get this code. At start up I get a little sputter and then the chk engine light comes on with the code. I took the car for a ride and it ran crappy till it warmed up.

I do notice a lot of black soot at my tail pipe, but I was told that this was not an issue. I'm wondering if there is carbon build up on the plugs or if I got some bad gas.

Any Idea, please help.

The one they replaced is located on the intake manifold and I think there is also one on the cold side charge pipe but I am not sure on that one.

Thread necro ftw....

Now I have this issue, and just ordered a new MAP sensor for the intake manifold. Other than the sputtering and running rough, could this also cause a boost pressure loss?

As well, to prevent the oil building up in the MAP sensor, I have heard installing an oil catch can would be beneficial... is that true?
