EXEDY Clutch Install

Im Planning on buying this EXEDY clutch.

Exedy Racing - Stage 3 Hyper Single Clutch Kit CHEVROLET COBALT SS 2005 - 2007 2.0 GH02SD

I looked at EXEDY's website at the install instructions and as far as i can tell all i would need in addition to this is the Flywheel Bolts. (I think) Will I need a new Throwout Bearing Also??
Here is the link for the instructions.. pg 6

http://www.exedyusa.com/multimedia/s...e%20GH02SD.pdf

Thanks
Kenny

If your going to get a new fly wheel or reseface your factory then it would be good to have new bolts fo the fly wheel. I know they come in a lot of other clutch kits so they are probably torque stretched from the factory. The throw out bearing is good to replace anyways while your in there. Mine at 40k miles was pretty worn and starting to make some noises. Clutch masters comes with a new factory TOB when you buy the clutch.

I have a extra set of brand new GM flywheel bolts if you need a set. I got them for my clutch but i didnt pull my fly wheel off cause it looked like it just came out of the box after i pulled my factory clutch off. il get rid of them for cheap if you pay shipping.

Kenny: I have the same clutch. I used new flywheel bolts and installed a new OEM throwout bearing aka slave cylinder assembly. As a rule of thumb on just about every vehicle, it's recommended you change the throwout bearing when you install a new clutch.

I changed the clutch pipe when I installed mine. Last thing I wanted to do was unistall and reinstall after I had already done it once.

If you want a new flywheel, check out ZZP. I don't know how they sell them that cheap.

Hypersingle comes with a lightweight cromoly flywheel and IIRC is the only flywheel that can be used with it.

Get a new TOB(good idea) and new flywheel bolts(necessary, the bolts are torque to yield/one time use) for your install.

Replace the factory bearing when you are in there, it is an inexpensive part, which could save you money in the long run from having to replace it later.

We have the best price on these...

hey, I'm about to make my order for the bearings and Flywheel bolts. Just want to be 100% sure I'm getting all the correct stuff.
Is there anything else anyone thinks i should get besides the following:

Flywheel Bolt 11570626 - Crate Engine Depot

2.0 LNF Clutch Bearing - Cylinder 24242805 - Crate Engine Depot

Just a warning with the Excedy. It does NOT give - when it engages it can be violent. DO NOT NLS with this clutch. If you do, you will find out just how much the stock clutch takes the violence out of a NLS.
