yeah thats true. It seems like I went to 10 places that said they wouldn't weld stainless steel. I didn't realize it was such a big deal.

trust me it does sounds quiet but it isn't as quiet as it seems. The video does not do it justice. I was very skeptical about doing this because i have heard cars without a muffler before and most sound awful but the turbo pretty much works as a muffler so its tooooooo quiet with the muffler on. I was going to take the muffler off and if it sounded bad order the hahn catback but after taking it off I am in love. There is no way I am spending as much money as hahn wants for his catback since i am not doing a turbo swap so the 3 inch exhaust is useless to me. And the factory exhaust is stainless steel so it will last forever. There is no reason to order hahns 3 inch exhaust if you are not doing a turbo swap. Overkill.

I hope not, LOL. I plan to take my car to my local muffler shop on Monday. Hopefully they wont have a problem with welding onto the stock stainless steel exhaust. I've had them take off mufflers in the past and run straight pipe with no muffler, resonator or cats. They're an AWESOME shop, LOL.

By the way, I was born and raised in the Bloomington-Normal area. Moved from there in 1996 though, but visit a few times a year. Not sure if you've been around that area before, but figured I'd ask, LOL.

i went to dissconnect the exhaust right above the rear axle and noticed its nothing like the ss/sc there wasnt a clamp there. looks like you have to cut it off to even get a clue of what it sounds like in person.

Aslong as it isnt too ricey and has a decent sound, I'll be getting my muffler taken off and replaced with piping. Will be at the muffler shop around 10am tomorrow, woohoo!!

Nice sound clips man!
What does our cars sound like with a straight through cylinder muffler?
sorta like with a 5Zigen Fireball Muffler or copycat.
???

Got my muffler cut off yesterday and a piece of pipe welded in place of it, and had the stock tip welded onto the piece of pipe. Sounds good as hell. Deep, not raspy at all and from inside the car you can only hear it alittle bit, but on the outside, it's kinda loud, but sounds great. Only cost me $43.80, LOL. You can also hear the turbo spooling up alittle bit more and the bypass valve got alittle louder. Best $43.80 I've spent in awhile, LOL.

Sounds great with the stock muffler and cats, but i don't think my re-tune is liking the choke of the stock muffler very much.
