Exhaust installed new sounds
I posted my exhaust clip from mandrel bent exhaust 3" cat back with the borla muffler.....
That original sound was a bit too much for me so i looked around at the price of a resinator and $50-$100 was more than i was willing to spend. So I started to look up inserts for the pipe.... I came across...

I purchased it and with a rubber hammer put it in my pipe....
Here is the new clip!
I love the way it sounds now and NO drone when cruzing. barely louder than stock but I did notice a bit more ......

I put my hand behind it with just the first straight pipe before and after I hammered it in..... I still flows like a MF. the gaps in the spiral are huge, plus the 1" tube in the middle is open and it's 11" total length so maybe a little..... But it's worth the sound difference. that first time was evil LOUD! I went from the stock 2,1/4" to 3" so it's better...

sorry to say but if everything on your car is the same besides that piece you hammered in. Its that much quieter because the muffler isnt getting as much flow as it used too. Because that piece is mega restrictive..

I did some measuring and found, the screws are 3" apart, and 2" deep. the center is a 1" pipe thats hollow. so IMO it's still a 3" pipe just forces the gasses to change direction like a flowmaster kind of.... so compared to a open exhaust it would create a bit of pressure, just breaks up the sound waves. Please don't misread, I'm not saying it's perfect, just trying to get some information out there.

Is this this same idea as silancer you can buy from vibrant that goes into the tip?
i know alof of the guys here in nova scotia run them in their cars.
my buddy has a 440whp teg and he runs a skunk 2 3" exhaust and it was to loud for him so he put the insert in his tip made the car 100 times quiter and actually incressed his HP numbers by 5 lol.
car sounds SO much nicer tho!
i hate bora because they are always so loud
