Exhaust Problem.

Okay so I bought a downpipe from ZZP, I look under the car and the ass that had the car before me, had welded the downpipe to the entire exhaust, and if Im not mistakin, I was thinking it was held on by 3 bolts, like the zzp is? How should I fix it? I am against welding exhaust. so I need another option.

Take it to an exhaust shop and have them cut it and weld in the 3 bolt flange. You may have to order the flange from GM or get it online. Make sure you have the new DP with you so that it lines up properly.

Wouldn't need a header. The Turbo is before the header. That would suck if they welded the DP to THAT. I would have killed the guy. haha.

But yeah, you might as well get the rest of the exhaust if you can afford it. then you can just junk it all or deal with it at your leisure. I got the ZZP downpipe on mine, and I really want to get a catback exhaust now, even tho it sounds pretty good with just the downpipe replaced.

Yeah I'm sure it does, I've always like stock exhaust, I do not want it to sound like a bubble bee, I'm used to ls1s I'm pretty new to 4 cylinders! But already got a lot on my car, so I guess why not buy a cat back, just gotta find a good one.

I like all the sound clips / YouTube videos of the MPx cat back that I hear for the Cobalt. Sounds great.
