Best exhaust? "Best" really isn't a good word for car parts. It all depends on what you want. None of them are gonna gain you any real performance, as we already have a full 3" exhaust. If you just want plain noise, get a muffler delete and catless DP. If you want good sound, get the Modern Performance exhaust. Hahn is quiet and sounds good, but will hit the rear axle if your lowered and is very expensive. You could do what I'm gonna do, and get an aftermarket muffler. Just go on youtube and listen to some clips. If you wanna hear a clip of a muffler delete with the stock DP, here's a clip of mine

Well get a catless downpipe if you don't already have one, that'll help.

Get a big turbo and an electric cutout, and you'll sound like this

Got the Modern Performance exhaust installed two days ago and sounds good when pushed and quiet when cruising. Perfect IMO.

The stock SS/TC has a full 2.5" exhaust, not 3". There is a small area that flares out to 2.75" but that is only where the resonator mates up with the DP, other than that it's 2.5". I will definitely agree with you in saying that there are no performance gains to be had with upgrading to a full 3" catback with the stock turbo... sound mod only (except for the DP that is)

For the OP.. here is a clip of my current exhaust setup.. This is a full turbo-back straight 3" setup... aside from a very small resonator where the muffler would be there are no cats, no muffler just straight 3" pipe. It's actually milder than most might expect

Ok my bad on the full 3" I just know that there are no real gains on a catback.

anyways, how about this? Catless DP, muffler delete, and magnaflow resonator in place of stock. Full 3" mandrel bent piping.

Unfortunately, to sound like an SRT4, you're missing that extra .4L of engine.

that's pretty much exactly like my setup... catless dp, full 3", and only a small resonator

personally I like the sound of our cars better than an SRT...

Mine sounds better than that with my cut-out open.
