Yea. I don't think anybody with a K04+ like we have, have done this upgrade... Because our wastegates are internal. But I may be wrong... Roll around the Solstice forums they have been around longer, and probably have messed around with stuff like this. Let us know if you find anything!

We set one up like this for testing. It's sitting here if you want to purchase it.

I would imagine the internal gate is welded shut and they made a hole in the turbine housing and welded a flange for an external gate. Still don't see the point of this on a stock turbo, if you want to hold more boost you can always get higher pressure actuators and modify them to fit easily.

Very little change if any in spool time, max boost, or HP when running a 3" exhaust. If you have a more restrictive exhaust, you can benefit from the open gate dump. You also can't use ECM boost control anymore unless you have access to the boost control duty cycle tables.

I think its pretty pointless in the end, to be honest. The internal gate works quite well for the amount of flow the stock turbo can produce. Might be good for looks, or to say you have it, but not so much for performance gains, as the money spent could be used elsewhere for bigger gains.

Yup, which is why we didn't take it to production.
