Ferrea

Anyone has the Ferrea +1mm valves and retainers/springs? How are they? Are they worth it the money?

You dont need the valves on your 5557. The springs will be nice and a must have if your revving over 7000 which on the 5557 I would be lol.

Yes, that's why I was thinking to just put both valves and springs, other than only the springs. I don't really like doing things half way.

I think the inconel are 25 a piece. Anything less then the inconel is a down grade. You are not only doing things half way here, The stock valves are exellent in this car. I mean if your going to do valves and springs then are you going to do rockers as well, or you going to cheap out there. By the way the rockers are 185.00 a piece from bates.

Yeah, GM gave us some great valves. Inconel and sodium-filled for better heat transfer as well.

If I do it, I do the all thing. If I do it, I was thinking to save for the zzp head/cam combo, and add the inconel or the Ferrea on that

Well heres the way I look at it. If someone was going to build the head it will cost at a minimum of 4000.00 for just the head. You could do ZZPs head and add at least 300.00 for the valves, and 350.00 for the springs, and even if you can get the rockers at 150.0 a piece, 2400.00 for those. Thats 5050.00 dollars. You dont build the block and you rev to 75-8000 rpms and tax the rods and one snaps, there goes ALOT of money. Build the block before you do the head. But like I said, Ferra makes good springs, and thats all I would do.

Definately my engine will be built either before the head, or at the same time

Good choice, but tremendously expensive lol. But I don't care, I gave myself the goal to get the entire car done the way I want to by 3 to 5 years from now

I really don't know, I didn't set an exact goal about it, but the most possible. I don't know, I saw guys with the SS/SC putting down over 600whp, so we'll see how far I can get
