That's a long road to final and I hope it goes very well for you. Not sure we have anyone doing something quite that big. Maybe 2 or 3 others on the site.

Well the reason I'm doing this is b.c after 36K on the motor the number 4 piston ring broke and scared the sleeve. I have a 2000 BMW for a DD and this is just going to sit and be a good project and drive it on weekends....I'm at Ft. Dix N.J right now so I have nothing else to do then dump money into the balt...I have not bills other then rent 400.00(roomate) and car payment. No insurance b.c it has not motor and sits in a garage so around 800 a month is bills army pays me 4000.00 a month to sit on my ass here and look on the computer all day

Never gonna happen. I'll give you 450whp on pump gas. This sounds more like a mod list off Gran Turismo...

You're not gonna get enough revs out of that valvetrain without floating valves. Also, what kind of lift are you planning for with the cams? I'd try for a 10.8/10.2 and get yourself some solid lifters. BLE makes em for the Ecotec and they are a better way to go than the JBP ones you have to shave or trying shims that will just end up floating around the head anyhow. And I'm not sure if you've really done your homework or not but the 3065R is not going to support 600whp unless you are running C16 and some serious timing, and even that is stretching it with 8500rpm worth of revs.

sounds like an almost exact copy paste of JBP's crate engine and JBP's crate head to me...

Thats what it is....fully built head and bottom...alot of people give them **** about there work, but when your not in america it's hard to...how should i say this... build your car yourself.... plus if anything goes wrong it's on them plus if you add up all the price of the parts vs buying everything from them and having them build it it's alot cheaper...

Yes they can make different final drives...They told me whatever you want done we can do it...If we can't find stronger parts for it then we will make sronger parts for it. My tranny is the first one that they have built so once it's done and i will let you know what all they did and how much everything cost....

Why is there so much confusion about the lash adjusters on these motors?!?!??!? The lash adjuster isn't going to car much about how much lift you have as opposed to how many rpms your running, but most importantly, how much spring pressure there is at max lift. 10.8mm is only .425", really not anything to be worried about with decent springs and proper valvetrain geometry.

Re-enlistment bonuses FTMFW!! Re-enlisting next week, Im Air Force though. $20,250, Im a flying crew-chief so I'm gonna re-enlist on a 5 day channel run to that desert, so that means 20k tax free!! I just love that whole month tax free even if you fly over the CORNER of a hostile fire area rule.

Great-Build list BTW, my #4 piston just did the piston ring damage dance so I'm starting a rebuilt soon as I get back around the end of the month, Im only shooting for about 400whp with a Turbo kit....

Kudos on the build. I would not want to DD a 600hp FWD car.

You probably want to go with a standalone unit to tune with

To bad its front wheel drive

you could have put 5k down on a STI put 6-7k into that and boom 500WHP and AWD

HEHE

Ryan

Also, With that compression and a 30R you wont make 600 WHP. The turbos to small man!

Don't crush the man's hallucination of making 600hp on a 3065r, obviously copying and pasting taught him something that nobody else knows.
