got a question that a friend of mine was thinking about doing. Would the new LNF motor fit into a older cobalt? I know that wire harness is different but if the motor came with all with wire harness and pcm would it fit...I think it would considering they are both 2.0! Just wanted to ask and see what people thought

^^ physically, they would fit, but there would be some wiring issues that arise. You'd have to check in with someone who knows more about the LNF electrical system for specifics

want 600 wheel? run a 150 shot with that turbo problem solved. You can do it but you are going extremely far beyond the efficiency island that turbo is meant for. a 600 hp turbo is 60-1 or 35r at their peak performance. just throw a 37r on there and you can **** alot of stuff up real quick.

but i hope you make that mark. i just had the exact same thing happen to my lsj and am building it up staying with the supercharger. out of curiosity where are you getting the total seal gapless ring kit from?

It wont run without a BCM too.

And ABS from one

And...the list goes on and on

He'll figure it out. Sounds like he thinks he has the money to make it work.

You would have to tackle the fuel issue, because as it stands the fuel system cannot support 600whp. Not even close.

switch to return style fuel, run 79# injectors, and increase the voltage to the fuel pump (or buy a better flowing pump?)

Could the above be a feasible solution? I'm just curious for my own sake.

I would hate to see you spend money on a 30r and realize it wont make your intended goals. So take all of our advise and go bigger.

I also recommend you sleeveing the block. If you dont, i can only see the motor lasting 15-20k miles.

He was talking about making the LNF work for that.

I think Russia put people into space for less than what he's paying for parts.

if you had an 07 car to swap, then yes, it would be pretty straight forward as the CAN and TCU/BCU are all 32bit like the the LNF is.

05/06 cars would require one hell of a re-wire.
