Hopefully new to a ss/sc

I hopefully am going to own a SS/SC by the end of this month and it got a stock intake on it. I was wondering which intake is most liked my most members.

AEM is just a shoulder type intake. It basically uses the stock piping all the way to the airbox. Then the airbox is replaced with AEM piping/filter. Still makes the blower scream

I'll sell you one real cheap if you're interested.

I like my Injen. Does tend to rub where it goes down ino the wheel well, but can always put something in between.

Yeah some websites use stock (universal) AEM photos for all their intakes even thou they are different . The AEM intake for the SS/SC is a piece of pipe that replaces the airbox and thats it. I like mine , but i wanted it to look like stock.

Neither. I'd wait for OTTPerofmance to release their 3" intake. Release is tentatively set for the end of March, at least according to this thread:

its not any worse than buying a 200+ intake, but how much better can 1 intake be than an other?? what kind of gains do you think it will make with a full exhaust?

Keep an eye on the classifieds and E-bay and buy used. People are always selling used CAI's and IMO one brand isn't any better than the next. They also aren't worth they sell for new IMO. I ran with the airbox mod and a AEM dry flo until I found someone selling a used Injen for what I was willing to pay.

I cant answer that. What i can say is the OTT intake will be 3'' where as the injen are 2.75 and others are even smaller IRCC. So on a stock car the larger size probably wont matter much but on a 2.8 car for instance a cant see how there wouldnt be some gains
