Well the reason I'm doing this is b.c after 36K on the motor the number 4 piston ring broke and scared the sleeve. I have a 2000 BMW for a DD and this is just going to sit and be a good project and drive it on weekends....I'm at Ft. Dix N.J right now so I have nothing else to do then dump money into the balt...I have not bills other then rent 400.00(roomate) and car payment. No insurance b.c it has not motor and sits in a garage
so around 800 a month is bills army pays me 4000.00 a month to sit on my ass here and look on the computer all day

I have 4 mos's but my primary is 31E (MP Cage Kicker) 31B (MP),11B (Infantry) 11C (Mortars)...right now i'm a e-5 getting premoted to e-6 soon....Also 600 is my goal and it can be done. so it doesn't matter what everyone says about this and that...ITS NOT MY DD!!!!! if the 3065R doesn't make it then oh well a little juice will make up for the 50 or 75hp! This site has so many haterz that it's unreal....
i've noticed every time someone makes a build thread there are always tons of people saying you cant do this and you can't do that. People should get on here to help other people not down grade what they are doing? Is it b.c your jealous that your not doing it???? i'm just saying tons of people always talkin crap....never said that i was going to be the fastest cobalt in the world but i want to build this car and have a decent car......

it's not that "we" are "haterz" it's the fact that we do know what we are talking about. lending a supporting hand with some insight into your quest for power.

Why is there so much confusion about the lash adjusters on these motors?!?!??!? The lash adjuster isn't going to car much about how much lift you have as opposed to how many rpms your running, but most importantly, how much spring pressure there is at max lift. 10.8mm is only .425", really not anything to be worried about with decent springs and proper valvetrain geometry.
