The torque curve for the ZFR is a lot more forgiving then the stock turbo actually. You don't have to be as conservative as a lot of people like to believe.

make sure u get the nickel antiseize and put it on every bolt when u install. and have another car ready just in case u need parts. I needed a manifold to turbo stud since I stripped mine cause gm dealer did not antiseize when they had last removed the turbo. Canadian tire where I lived had exactly what I needed thank God. oh yes and if u have bad fuel injector seals that are no their last leg, u will find out once u got turbo on and running at high psi. if u get misfire and a lot of backfire, that's ur issue. that's what happened to me.

Better order the extended coupler. It won't fit with the small injen coupler. Even then my injen cp was a complete pita with the zfr. Ended up just getting a zzp upper cp.

could i just install a longer coupler for the time being or just throw the stock one on ... would that make a difference in power with the stock charge pipe?

I guess the stock one would work but you'd have to rig something up to allow for the 3-4" difference of inlet length of the stock turbo to the zfr connecting to the pipe.

Extended tip would be easier to attach coupler, but extended coupler works fine, it's really long so u can cut it to what u need

You should've got the welded extension. Mine was bolt on and go, although i did have to clock the compressor housing a bit once it was in, but ran with stock charge pipes for a week, then got the zzp upper.

May have to trim your coupler? Mine fit back in just fine.

Double check is seated in the lower coupler correctly as well?
