Hey everyone,
I did a pressure test on my synapse intercooler yesturday and I found 2 small pin holes in the weld by the inlet. My question is what can I use to fix it besides getting it re welded? Would j&b weld work?
Thanks in advance

JBWeld would probably work. Quik steel is bad ass, though. It's a two-part putty that you mash together and stick on there. Is Synapse not going to help you out with this?
Btw, getting it re-welded probably wouldn't cost all that much. I'm definitely not going with Synapse, now. That's two bad ones on this board alone.

I emailed synapse but still no responce. I'll just fix it myself rather than go thru the hassle of shipping it back and what not. I may fix it and sell it then wait for modernperformance to bring out their intercooler.
They had an endtank re-design, so who knows when it's coming out. I'm hoping it is in the $450 range. Blueberry went with an ETS unit that I assume he used elbows on, but I haven't asked him about it yet. He said it was for a DSM. I'll get more info from him if I decide to go that route. I just want this unreliable plastic piece of **** out of my car before I end up on the side of the road.
if u live in winnipeg, put on ur stock cooler, bring the holy one to me, and ill get it tig welded for u for free. Work in a welding shop so i just get the tig welders to do it for me when i need something fixed.
Still have not broken mine....... knocks on wood.
