Forge Bypass/Block off plate.
This. If you can find someone near you who knows the LNFs I highly recommend you have them come check the car out, I'm on the mobile site so I have no idea where you're located and if anyone is nearby
Harrisburg, PA.
Im in Newark, DE. Too much of a drive for me :/ You near the Pocono's by any chance? My tuner is from there but he no longer in the cobalt SS world. He might still be able to lend a hand though if hes willing.

There's a good number of ppl in PA, if your car is in drivable but not boostable shape it might be worth driving to CudaJoe or seeing if he'll meet you somewhere between Harrisburg and Newark
I was informed by the dealer (not a certified chevy dealer) that it was just taken in for a new hub under warranty, is this an upgrade from stock or did somebody blow it and buy a cheap replacement? if it's not stock and it's gonna cost all that much to go back to stock then I'll stick with a BOV. As for all the other questions...I'm unsure; I'm very new to this whole turbo set up thing. I'll definately have to send trifecta an email and figure this out; alls I know is I changed the MAF now its calling for a stuck bov.
if you guys want picture requests I can definately get em but I gotta take the car in for some body work today after a disagreement with a deer...
how can I check about the different wastegates? I'll upload a few of the other pictures I have here in a minute.

i know these aren't the greatest pictures; they're ones I took when I was just trying to look around down there after i first bought it; but I figure if somebody can pin point any details at all; anything will help at this point; up until now I thought this car was stock with a few bolt ons... (LNFs aren't very common in this area)

That up-pipe doesnt look stock. looks like a few elbow pieces welded and coated. under full throttle is the car rediculously loud like a second exhaust (straight pipe) opens up? look up youtube videos of open waste gate sound.
as for the precision 5557 if thats it, its an upgrade. I believe with the right fueling and tune, you can make 370-380 whp.
But I dont know if that the turbo. I do know thats a precision turbo since its right on the side of it.

... do you have a Treadstone stage 4 kit with Dejon piping?????

To Identify what you have. You will need some better photos. Start saving some money and invest in getting a new turbo setup. I dont know if I'd want to have somebodies pieced together kit for my car. It could be a really good kit, but you dont know whats going on under that hood so you'll end up having a hard time analyzing what the problem is should anymore arise down the road.
the thing is when it blows off I can definately hear a flutter normally after it gets warmed up, it's not rediculously loud but it does like to whine up and you'll know it's there. I sent Trifecta an email; I'm not hating the sound of this upgrade thing at this moment haha. but like I said it started cutting out on me when the boost blew out; was told it was a tune issue or a bpv getting stuck, issue dissapeared in the summer months. Lost license for 2 weeks during a freak coldl period, when I got to drive again my MAF went bad; so I replaced it and it started throwing the stuck BPV code; so I started looking into the forge upgrade and wanted to get rid of the BOV anyways but here I am finding out it's not even close to a stock set up. It currently won't boost past 8 psi sometimes, never past 13 anymore, I can hear a flutter when it does blow off boost mostly after its warmed up and when I sit at an idle it'll rev up to 2k randomly, then low back to a normal rev and keep cycling through that unless I put some load on it (release clutch slightly in gear) and then it'll sit back at a regular idle for a while. Figured it was a stuck BPV... That's the only information I got...
Is there any possibility that my MAF was going bad for a while and when I changed to the new one it started throwing the stuck BPV code because of it not being tuned correctly for this BOV? I know this car was picked up by the dealer I got it from out of auction; hence why I didn't know about all these upgrades... but I'm gonna have to take her in to get this body work done here soon so I won't be able to get any new pictures. When it comes back thursday I'm definately gonna put it up on the lift and get some better looks at it from below.
you have a precision turbo. I dont know which one it is though. I know 5557 is a popular one.
I can't find any dejon websits... they go out of business? I really wanna figure out if I just have a boost leak or what, my car's been burning a lot of excess fuel ever since I got it. But it didn't always have a flutter noise, could be a boost leak that got worse? I'm hoping I get positive news back from Trifecta about a tune in their records. Turns out I don't have to take it in until next week for the bodywork; any tips on how to start a diagnosis?

What I think has happened with your car is that when the dealer got a hold of it, they flashed it back to stock. Now your car cant figure out why it cant make 15-17psi under the stock settings. Its because the turbo is bigger and the wastegate isnt opening enough to spin the compressor/ turbine. The car throws a code for stuck BPV (as in stuck open) and its treating it like a leak.
What are the exact codes you got? Thats the first part of diagnosing this.
If its a boost leak, then making a boost leak tester should help you find a leak. Id check the tune and make sure the car has a tune for that turbo and not the factory settings. I would get HPtuned if theres a local near you with HPtuners.

last time I got it scanned the guy didnt tell me the code just that it was the stuck bypass code. it used to throw p0101 - mass or valume are flow a Circuit range/performance
p0507 - Idle air control system revolutions per minute higher than expected.
then after it sat it for those 15 days it had the MAF go bad, replaced that and it started throwing the stuck BPV code. currently has the CEL now; I'll take it out to the auto store and get it scanned again to see what it's up to now. (been a week or so since I got it scanned.)ed.)

okay Im really starting to think that theres a factory tune with precision 5557 turbo kit on your car. You fix maybe to tune the car.
you can adjust the blow off valve you posted in the picture as well to lower the flutter noise. flutter is when the bypass valve doesnt open and the trapped air pushes back against the compressor wheel to escape.

you dont have to tune aggressively either, you can make it safe and make enough power to be satisfied. 20 psi tune on that turbo is probably just north of 300whp
Get more pics that are clearer of the turbo and the exhaust manifold. See if you can get a pic of the up pipe and downpipe from a different angle. maybe take a pic from underneathe? I dont want to say you have a 5557, it could be a pieced together ebay kit for all I know using a precision turbo.

I took a few shots earlier, it's hard to get a good shot of anything. Would do better if I could get it up on the lift but that won't happen for a little. I'll see if these are any help. THanks a bunch man you're being a huge help.

Idk if any of these would help, only pics I could get.

well the thing is the car's idling weird, it never did it before I did the MAF swap. it'll run up to 2k for a while then settle back down and keep cycling through that. It's not getting full boost either and has a CEL virtually all the time now. The flutter is only a slight nuisance haha. Sorry I'm reading your posts in a weird order. I just need to find a way to distinguish which turbo it really is, if trifecta tuned this car previously would they have a description of the previous mods on the car? Also can I take it to a chevy dealership and have my friend scan it there to see if it's ever been tuned in the past if trifecta doesn't know?
based on the quality of some of those pieces, im hankering to take a guess that the dude before you blew his stock turbo and had this thing constructed in its wake to give him his boost needs. Everything looks custom and not with quality metal. What the heck is the turbo mounted to? looks like the guy welded up an elbow with some flanges as an adaptor to fix the aftermarket turbo to the manifold, assuming its the stock manifold still. I cant tell you if its an upgrade based on what im seeing. It kinda looks like a quick fix to get the car running or a cheap high school kids idea of a turbo build project?
I was hoping somebody would stop in here and comment on your pics of the turbo to identify it... I guess the cobalt community is busy.
The mount for the turbo to the manifold looks like good work with that bead roll weld but the other pieces look like a surgeon with no previous experience in plastic seurgery. Scars everywhere.
The up-pipe kinda looks like aluminized steel
My advice. Gather some cash up, go through ZZPs store. buy parts to turn that back to stock or upgrade it. Thats what I would do.
