Forge Intall

Forge Install* lol. So I searched and came up with nothing. I simply just want to know which direction to install the forge bpv into my car. I haven't taken my old one out yet so maybe that will answer my question, but I don't want to take the old one out really unless I already know lol. Thanks.

It'll very obvious once you take your stock one out. Make sure you leave the vacuum line attached to the stock one while you're taking it out. It holds the spring and the diaphragm in place

It's aluminum- be careful not to cross thread/overtighten.

ahh.. ok.. are there any manuals that suggest a proper torque setting to the set screws? or is it just tighten to "snug"

Well good news,

My valve upside down didn't make much noise so I thought it was just there to get rid of the plastic and rubber pieces of the stock. Now that it's right side up it sounds much much better.

I must have over tightened it and when I untightened it it must have stripped. That's my guess.

Does the forge unit come with mounting bolts? That thing has a much thicker base than the stock BPV plate.

Mine didn't, but all is well. I fixed my bolt problem. I just bought a slightly longer bolt. Only the first part of the whole was stripped. Luckily the bolt is smaller than the hole (lol) and there was plenty of extra threading to use.
