My fuel mixture was between E50-E55
OK here is the graph. On the bottom you can see the boost curve. This was on a DYNOmite dynamometer. It's a loaded dyno similar to a mustang dyno.
The dip you see on the top end is from tach signal wire, so ignore that. The power curve and boost curve is impressive compare to stock. Its too bad we weren't able to turn the boost up past 26.4 psi. There was probably more ponies left on the table.
The other issue is that we had to turn the timing down 4* compared to stock K04 e55 tune as it was showing a bit of KR so he turned it down to be safe. Soooo, Sry KMO but it's not always possible to run "Max timing" with low ethanol mixtures and this turbo. Bryan thinks it's entirely possible I would have made a bit more power with a 100% E85 fuel as I had plenty of fueling available with my new setup since I have the fuel lobe cam and recently added the Opel injectors during this build. The shop also had two dyno on site. The other one was a dynojet and the owner knows for a fact that the dynojet reads 12% higher than the one I was using. So for the people that only care about peak #s, if I would have been on that dyno, I would have hit 400hp. I will be going back soon with full E85 blend and more timing.
My mods are:
Stock 2.5 catback (also losing power here too)
Catless DP
Custom intake using stock MAF housing
Hot&cold side charge pipes
ZZP large IC
Fuel lobe cam
Opel injectors
7blade k04r w high boost actuator

I'm avoiding beating on it right now as Im still breaking in the clutch. I did do a mild 2nd and and 3rd gearl pull and it was great to not feel and see the boost drop off. It pulls hard all the way to 6500ish but I do miss the torque. Then again, I may gain some of it back on E85. If you have a blown turbo, I think buying this turbo is a no brainer if you want to upgrade but want to keep your wallet happy. Turbobay will pay you 250 for a usable core. There's no doubt your car will be faster with this turbo over stock K04

It might be that pvc plug that bolts into compressor housing inlet. It sticks out enough to disturb the flow so its a possibility I think. You could unbolt it and pull it out just a little bit to where the o-ring is still making a seal. Start it up and see if the sound changes.

Looks like it did well considering everything, Wagon. FWIW, I found more power with less boost. The harder I pushed both mine and my dad's, the more power fell off up top. There's definitely a sweet spot for both boost and timing. Also, decent and noticeable gain with the addition of a 3" CBE
Keep us posted on the updates. Good luck man.

You said you shaved yours down? Id like to give that a go to see if it makes a difference.

I think between that and the giant wheel stuffed in the ported housing, it's where the additional noises are coming from. With an aluminum SRI like the K&N, it's only going to amplify things.

I love the way mine sounds at part throttle. It's almost quieter at WOT though, which is weird.
I had to try it out one more time. It pulls pretty damn good up top.

I'm currently doing Shaun's R meth tune and so far we got the EGTs to drop by 200* lowered the IPW by 1ms gained 2psi and 3* timing. He's running a 500cc nozzle 60% meth AEM MAF based unit. The only things I don't like about the AEM kit is the box is not waterproof and the nozzles jump from 500cc to 1000cc. I usually run 630cc or 10gph @ full pressure which is close to 1000cc. At my meth flow I will be lowering my IPW by 1 to 2ms!!!

It looks like we are done logging for the day. Final results were 17* total timing at just under 26psi. His 75 to 100 dropped by .8 sec no 60 times because he didn't have any clean 60 to 100 pulls. Plus he said that was with 3 ppl in the car 410lbs total

Shaun was able to get me 1 more log and now we have him 1 full second faster 75 to 100 than on 91.

I'm curious to see now I think Shaun will run him down even if he brake boosted. Also I was able to give him more spool since we set the meth up to start spraying early so it's really faster everywhere
