Ya thats good but the spherical CABs are more important

My R goes on the new ride soon.... Very soon. Really enjoying the stocker at the moment though haha
I'm going to do some before and after with it. 91 and then E on the stocker vs 91 and E on the R. Should be fun to see how much it picks up.
Already picked up 35whp with just increasing the boost and tossing the catless DP on it. Haven't touched factory timing yet

Made over 430wtq too
With what's available via HPT, you can drastically affect spool times with the PID controls and Opti spark tables. However, the upside to the R is that you can smooth the delivery and have it still make great midrange power unlike the stocker.

Question for anyone that's smarter than me (a lot of you) if someone went big turbo, either 67 or 71 would it be possible to achieve 400+whp but also keep the tq under 400? Say for example if someone wanted around 420whp/370wtq

Absolutely NOT! You must make ALLL the torque

With a turbo like the 71 you want some torque to get the thing spooled up then you can let it eat on the topend

My fuel mixture was between E50-E55
OK here is the graph. On the bottom you can see the boost curve. This was on a DYNOmite dynamometer. It's a loaded dyno similar to a mustang dyno.
The dip you see on the top end is from tach signal wire, so ignore that. The power curve and boost curve is impressive compare to stock. Its too bad we weren't able to turn the boost up past 26.4 psi. There was probably more ponies left on the table.
The other issue is that we had to turn the timing down 4* compared to stock K04 e55 tune as it was showing a bit of KR so he turned it down to be safe. Soooo, Sry KMO but it's not always possible to run "Max timing" with low ethanol mixtures and this turbo. Bryan thinks it's entirely possible I would have made a bit more power with a 100% E85 fuel as I had plenty of fueling available with my new setup since I have the fuel lobe cam and recently added the Opel injectors during this build. The shop also had two dyno on site. The other one was a dynojet and the owner knows for a fact that the dynojet reads 12% higher than the one I was using. So for the people that only care about peak #s, if I would have been on that dyno, I would have hit 400hp. I will be going back soon with full E85 blend and more timing.
My mods are:
Stock 2.5 catback (also losing power here too)
Catless DP
Custom intake using stock MAF housing
Hot&cold side charge pipes
ZZP large IC
Fuel lobe cam
Opel injectors
7blade k04r w high boost actuator

You can see it in the dyno run itself up top. ******* wavy ****!

So he's got a rebuild since? What timing are you up to now? Coins turbo drops boost where mine didn't but I also had a different actuator setup.

That's still pretty good timing on a turbo with such a small exhaust housing

Got the R installed on #3 and my god is this turbo loud (coming from the stocker)!
One thing I'm noticing is that the car wants to start spooling when going up hill and sits at around manifold pressure (zero vacuum). I'm wondering if this is a side effect of having too much preload on the wastegate, the "high boost" canister itself or a combination of the two?
I've tried messing with the PID tables to minimize it (OS timing is stock/stock difference) with no luck.
Any ideas?

Going up a hill loads the car and can spool the turbo it's totally normal has nothing to do with ramp. Ramp is % of max torque vs rpm. 1 to 5psi of light boost up a hill will have nothing to do with ramp

I do not plan to have my transmission **** the bed anytime soon.
Ultimately, I'm going to continue to tinker with the WG rod and back off the preload a bit. I truly believe it can help to make a difference because I'm still seeing 23lbs of boost (and quite quickly) with low 70% WGDC. If this doesn't work, oh well. I'll just have to chalk this up to "because race car"
