Gmpp

Okay, So i recently got a '10 SS/TC. I have looked many times for upgrades. My dealership tells me that the stage1 kit is garbage and a waste of money, and if i put aftermarket parts on, just take them off before i come in. I'm not sure what to do. anyway, do the CAI and catback for the 09 model work? is there a reason they don't come up when i look up "gm accessories" on dealership sites for the '10 model but do for the '09 model. and last, any upgrades that wont void warranty besides GMS1?

Thanks in advance

Yes they do, and you have a badass dealership. The reason they dont come up is GM doesnt make a catback or a CAI for our cars, you have to go aftermarket. I would recommend the K&N intake, ZZP downpipe and Trifecta Tune for a good start.

gm stage 1 isnt garbage. its a good power upgrade for DD and some people. If you want more then theres aftermarket tunes from hpt or trifecta.

A cat back nets you zero power, only sound. For exhaust side get a good downpipe, I recommend hahn ones. pricey but they seem to not throw cel's as much as the competitions.

Cai - no good ones on the market. Get a k&n sri for a intake.

Welcome to CSS.net and congrads on getting '10SS/TC..

The GMS1 isnt bad at all, just stick with getting a DP, K&N drop in, Charge pipes & Tune either HPT or Trifecta..

08-10 aftermarket parts will fit, there is alot of vendors on here and else where to get aftermarket parts..

thanks for all the help so far. There is no way for them to detect after-market bolt ons if i take them off before i bring it in for service?? (im guessing no but just making sure) But i know for sure they can detect tunes, but i hear trifecta cannot be detected?

bolt ons no, unless you strip a bolt and they see that and guess.

trifecta says that, someone else said GM tech tool gets upgraded soon so idk. But I bet trifecta doesnt say they 100% promise it will be stealth and pay for it if its not.

Yes if you buy a spare ECU and tune that one and keep the stocker for warranty work then you will be good.

I would like the name of the dealer that said it was garbage and I will call and talk to them personally.

the GMPP Stage kit or Turbo Upgrade kit 19212670 is fully warranted for the remaining life of your 100,000 mile powertrain warranty. It increases your HP by 20 and your torque by 60 ft-lbs.

most of the vendors on the site here sell them, and jdp motorsports. ebay had some too.

GMS1 isn't garbage, unless you don't get them soldered. I stick with 3" ZZP Catless DP, AEM CAI or K&N SRI, and Injen CP and you'll be set. I never had any issues with the ZZP's DP throwing any codes in for the past 2 months. AEM did revised their CAI, so they run as good as stock airbox from what Term has stated.
