GMS1 installed and awesome

Read alot on here (months worth) about what upgrades to get for my 2010 and even though I was hesitant, I went with the GMS1.
Wow is all I can say. What a difference. Second gear totally kicks ass and third is downright dangerous if you don't pay attention to the spedometer.
Traded my 2006 SC in for this and I kinda missed the torque steer when mashing the throttle. Not anymore, it's back with a vengence in second.

Any case I figure why stop there and am currently waiting on my Trifecta tune, EZ flash cable in the mail. Ordering process has been awesome so far. Submitted online, emailed confirmation right away, sales person called me the next day and after getting my billing info received my tracking # and 2 tunes (GM tune and Trifecta) via email next day.

I'll let everyone know my take on the diffs between GM and Trifecta once installed.

no other mods btw

Cheers!

Am I missing something here??? Why did you get the GM1 if you're gonna Trifecta anyway? Makes no sense at all. You do NOT need the GM1 sensors with Trifecta (or HTP tune which I have) and you WILL get better performance with the tunes vs GM. Also, you may now have *issues* with the sensors/wiring down the road unless they we installed TOP NOTCH. Yes, you can tune over the GM, but it was a big waste of your $$$ and now opens the door to the GM issues I mentioned.

I'm quite aware of this but was curious to see the difference between the tunes first hand. The $800 it cost for the GM tune is not gonna break me.

Thanks for your 2 cents though.

I'm still trying to decide on Trifecta or GMS1

I'm still in college, I'm not flowing in cash other than Loans, and we all know taking too many of those is asking for trouble.

I'm leaning more to Trifecta though.

What do you recommend

I have GMS1 and am considering going aftermarket tune on top of it, I have not had a single issue with my GMS1 other than the front tire wear!! I would have still bought GMS1 if I was going to tune over it from day one. I don't know why you guys are all picking on him for buying a factory issued upgrade....

I think your situation is different. When you got the GM1, did you KNOW FOR SURE (at that time) that you were gonna get the tune as well? Deciding later on is a different matter. All I'm saying is that getting the GM1 KNOWING you're gonna turn around and tune over it is plain dumb..seriously.

I knew for sure I was getting the Trifecta tune just for comparison to the GMS1. Thought it would be nice to see both first hand.
Well, flashed my car tonight with Trifecta and all I can say is "Holy Sh*t *****". Beat the ass off the car for a couple hours and it performed like a champ, even got a chance to run a spankin new GTI (he gave me a smug grin when I pulled up beside him, he laughed his ass off when I passed him).

Trifecta FTW

If I was in college, I wouldn't get a tune at all. I remember what it was like having to pay for college, and it sucks.
