GMS1 Sensor Install Question

So im going to install the GMS1 Sensors. But i have a question for everyone.

I already am HP Tuned, and wonder if i can just install the 2 sensors and will be good to go or will i need to be retuned? (ALSO WILL THE CAR BE OKAY TO DRIVE FOR A WEEK IF I DO NEED TO BE RETUNED?)

I dont want to install the 2 sensors if the car cant be driven if i DO need a retune.

I only purchased the 2 sensors, not the entire GMS1 upgrade because i run my own tune.

Thx!

Its not hard to install, just have to cut and solder the wires together and make it look neat lol

But you do need a retune once you put them in before you drive ur car.

you'll need a re tune the car will start up but once you drive/ hit boost if will go into limp mode i believe... also make sure u got the correct oring for the sensors the one that come with the sensors are wrong(unless you bought the kit from CED or the dealer) and also make sure u cut the nipple off the sensor so it will sit flat on the lower charge pipe, if you have the instruction you'll see what im talking about

You can drive it easy for a while but don't get into the boost. I'd retune it on sensor install though. You can keep the stock base file and just change the sensor data in HPTuners. Boosts better without the GMS1 file.

Did you just buy the sensors or did you also get the pigtails?

They aren't plug and play

You will need the Stage 1 flashed on your car via HPT

Did no one ever make plug and play pigtails. Someone could have make some cash doing that.

No adapter plugs that I know of, it would be nice though. Maybe BYT's shop or ZZP can do it.
