GMS1 sensor soldering question

So I have had gms1 since it first came out and I had almost zero issue for the first couple years. Then started having some fuel trim problems and threw the usual codes. Dealership changed the lower map two times while I was on warranty and that would temporarily fix the issue.
Well it's happening again and I want to fix it right.

Being that it was installed before the quick connect harness was available and gm did the install it's just all butt connected which is obviously garbage.

I plan to re do it and solder the connections as well as replacing the lower tmap.

That brings me to my question.

What is the best way to solder the lower sensor wiring?
Basically space is really tight and my hands arent exactly small making it very hard to get in there.
Is the wiring long enough to pull out the top to make some clean solders and hear shrink it? It's very hard to tell with all the wire loom and electrical tape. I just can't imagine how else to do it.

How did you guys do your soldering?

If only the wiring harness was available when the kit cam out...

the best way is the long way. Remove the entire engine harness and solder it on the bench. If you go that far, retro back to the plug and play connectors.

you go that far put in a new harness with plg and play connectors. lol

Like you say, its a difficult spot to get to and its easier on a hoist. But most folks cant solder things well anyway. good luck.

Soldering is easy. If your good you can pull the harness up and do it from the top. If your not confident pull the pipe and do it.

Repinning is the best way for an uncut harness or untouched harness

I'm good at soldering. my real question was if the wires were long enough to pull up and solder or if they were super short. Hard to tell because of tape and lume

Plug the sensor in and make your pigtails as ling as you need and then take the plug off so you have slack and solder it upm wire length depends on who's cold side pipe you have.

I have the stock lower pipe may upgrade to ZZP pipe when I throw on there intercooler and the ZFR I have waiting in the wings.

Extending the wires is a good idea but I would still need to solder the other end of them leaving me in the sale hard to reach spot. And I don't want to use butt connects again as it's what I'm trying to eliminate.

Has anyone had any issues with reaching the ZZP lower pipe with the tmap? It looks like it's located in a very different place then stock but I can't find any pics where you can actually see the lower pipe installed.

I already explained to you how to do it. Disconnect the connector and you have to remove the pipe which takes libnger but gives you a ton if room or you need to disconnect the plug and you can pull it up enough get to the wires but it's a lot harder to solder everything

The bump was more in regards to the ZZP lower pipe question but I appreciate your input.

When the pipe is removed did you solder from below the car or from above?

Anyone have the soldered or crimped wiring (not the pnp harness) and a ZZP lower pipe ? How is fitment. It I would like to see pics as I know it slightly relocates the map hole and I'm worried about placement and or length of the wiring.
