Good turbo upgrade for lnf
Good turbo upgrade for lnf
I have an 09 ss. Looking into eventually swapping in a bigger turbo. Any ideas? What are some good ones guys have been getting great results with? Also are there any that will just bolt directly up in place of the old one?
or if you got some cash and not feel like waiting.. the zzp stage 3 kit look promising. If you wanna wait. I'd wait for EFR turbo as everyone is waiting for that. There will be an epic group buy. I'm sure 25 ppl

EFR FTMFW!
Talk to Dave at Werks Performance, they have actually done EFR installs and kits, not just talked about them for months like some "other" vendors. They have entire kits with exhaust manifolds, coolant and oil lines, etc. Their work is high quality and they're awesome guys to deal with, hella smart and will answer any questions you have. Hit up the Werks website or give them a call, you'll be impressed with how easy they are to talk to and deal with. Plus they make some killer products! (I'm most impressed with their in-house welder, he's amazing.)
This is mine, I've got a few thousand miles on the kit so far and I'm more impressed with it everyday. Super smooth drivability but enough power to pull off a 3.6 second 60-100 run. Almost identical airflow and power to my tuned and bolted 6.0L Vortec Max Sierra! All that and it's averaged 25mpg on E47 over the last couple months! Averaged almost 30mpg on a 200 mile drive we recently took it on. Big free flowing turbine housing and exhaust manifold with a super efficient ball bearing turbo and these numbers don't seem that unreasonable for anyone to get. Yeah, you can use the stock exhaust manifold and still make power, but maybe it's one of the big factors in my mileage, that would mean the exhaust manifold would eventually pay for itself, AND you get more power with lower EGT's. In my opinion, why would anyone use the stock manifold if they're going as far as getting the best turbo made?

6758 and WELL over 400 to the wheels.
Thanks guys, I did a lot of work on it and every time even I open the hood I'm like "DAMN!".
My son's Redline is white, so we did everything the opposite, black valve cover, charge tubes, etc. Totally different but they both look pretty cool.

So.. is there any engine work hidden in there, or strictly an EFR upgrade? Also, how much boost is it running?
Gotta love RWD too btw lol.. must be a fun beast!
What's the exact website addy, and how much did it set u back? lol.. sorry for questions.. but I'm looking for big power next year at the best possible price.
