Got tired of waiting...

Gave HPT more then enough time now to release these tables they said they already found, just need to test.

SO I bought one of these:
http://www.hksusa.com/info/?id=3717

I have a Profec E-01 in my attic but I don't want that big ass monitor in the car, I like the stealth look

I'm looking to run 24-25psi for just when I goto the track or get into a lil run on the road and that just isnt possible with pill mod and HPT. I would have to pull over, swap pill, catch the car that wanted to race.. etc. lol!

I also bought a 2Step Box from the people that make the WOT box, my NLS works just fine for me at the track so I only purchased the 2Step option. I'm hoping to have everything installed before this Friday night when our local track opens for the season

I have seriously considered buying a cable from him so I can have all those tables I need for boost control and fueling but still on the fence about spending more money on tuning this car LOL. As long as I can write calibrations so I can keep and change all my other tables I use I would be as happy as a pig in mud. I am getting tired of waiting for HP Tuners to unlock more tables so I can get the most out of my car without resorting to tricking the car with things like the pill.

I def agree, I didnt want to spend this $300 but I know this is the only way to get what Im after at this point in time. The fueling would be nice to have tho after being able to control the WG correctly now

i talked to him about altering fuel pressure on a stock turbo and he has yet to see any reason to really screw with fuel on a stock turbo car.

Aren't we all tired of waiting for more tables from HPT? I know i was tired of it last year already.

I have to be careful of what I say - i don't want to hurt anyone's feelings

BYT - I'm sure you will, but don't forget to post up results both here and on HPT forum.

He did it for ZZP and they made 20 whp more on the stock turbo. The ECM has the pressure drop off ~100 psi up top which is part of the reason the power falls after 5700 or so.

I'd still like to have the ability to find out for myself. Not to turn this into a HP TF thing but he thinks ~12:1 is ideal and I have seen the benefits from going leaner myself on the dyno.

Wow, so because HPT has not executed on this one table yet, we are leaving ~20whp on the table??? Where's Bill??

You know I will
ZZP was running 0.87 lambda on the stock turbo. I have tired every A/F between 11.8 and 13.2 and 13.0 makes the most power on the dyno and it produces the fastest acceleration times on the street as well.

Sorry, I was commenting to glhs on that one. But I def agree 100%. Going from .85 to .88-.89 yielded about 20whp on the dyno. Im running almost 20* of timing at that AFR too, so it's not too lean to make a lot of power and not too lean to create a ton of knock

Going down to 0.82 lamba allows 1-2* more timing to be run in some cases, but it is still slower on my logs. I have never tried it that rich with the pill but the result would likely still be the same as it is at 22 psi.

yea they also totally redid their website, apparently they're open from 9-4 now.. and then later in the year 9-5 it says 12-11 on saturdays on their facebook page as well

"For those that don't know already, Island Dragway was milled and repaved from the end of the concrete past the finish line in November 2009. So far, this has totally eliminated any water seeping issues, and we are looking forward to a dry 2010! More photos can be seen on our facebook page."

My Pedders Springs have helped a ton in that department. My car no longer lifts in the front and squats in the back as much as it used to.

My problem was the more I pinned down the front and got the traction going to the tires, the track just plain couldnt hold it for ****! I got better traction on ANY public road in 1st gear then at this track!

We picked up about 7-8 whp on the stock turbo with our external fuel pressure mod. We didn't work with Trifecta til just a couple months ago, and only on the S252 turbo.
