That was on the ported head, so boost was only 17 by the end of the pull. Probably 25 or so on the hit, but just depended on what RPM I went WOT.

7-8whp out of potentially one table in HPT is significant. IF HPT was the standard, I'd be reading these results on their forum.

Props on testing this out and getting the results posted so we know what we are leaving on the table by going with HPT.

Frankly, I'm curious whats going on @ HPT. I'd post over there, but we all know it would just get locked/deleted and I'd be banned. The list is long besides LNF work, but they don't seem to be making progress on ANYTHING lately. Not Dodge, not Ford, not 2.24 and sure as hell not on LNF. That might be all outward perception, but I mean **** tons of 2010 cars arent even supported yet.

I really wish someone else would push out a self-tune product for this platform.

Just finished installing the EBC and just wow! Just holding 21-22psi flat almost all the way out makes an incredible difference in the pull! Seen 285 load at 21-22psi!

Going to do some higher boost stuff in a lil bit, hungry now lol

My stock clutch let go at 300% most days. I haven't had an opportunity to try it on the new one.

Dove into the 2Step installation and after hours of scratching my head Im stuck. I have the correct wires tapped, I can open the software and see that it's operating right and recognizing everything. The car still runs and drives great so I def have the ignition wires correct.

The issue is this:
When you press the gas WOT then press the clutch down, the light is supposed to be solid for a sec, blinks slow then blink rapid. My LED doesn't change at all when I do this. The 2Step also doesnt work. The instructions say to check the clutch pedal position signal, but I checked with Cmiller and I have the same wire tapped as him lol. So wtf?!?!?

I decided to give up on that and go play with high boost....blew my lower coupler apart :such fail:

So, what about just running the GMS1 rather than a boost controller. BYT and Term, what are your thoughts on that? It allows us to boost to ~28psi, which is higher than anyone should go. Plus, we have control over the wastegate, rather than just open or closed like a boost controller. I HATED my EBC when I had it on my car (til I got the big turbo on). I didn't have much time to play with it, but it seemed like it just opened straight up and all I got was a wall of boost.

Gotta play with the gain

I think the car is smoother boost wise now and the control over it is what we SHOULD have with HPT. The boost is a LOT flatter and holds just plain better! I will post logs once I get it dialed in just right, I have it pretty close now tho! I also don't want 28psi, I just want a solid 22 and then 24-25 for if I need it!

Got the 2step working with help from Cmiller, thanks buddy! Havent had a chance to really test it yet tho since its raining like crazy today.

BYT, for the cost that I can pick up the GMS1 sensors, and run the flash myself, would it be worth going to an EBC. I can get the sensors for like $50 for the pair. I'm not sure if you have any experience on the GMS1 calibration. Maybe I will be the tester for that.

I know some people bought the sensors, I would love to get the set to try tuning the gmpp. my friend with the gmpp on his cobalt messed up his linkage somehow and the dealer will only rig it up. he needs to call gm and complain.

Yes, I have the GMS1 tune and have played with it. You get a higher spike but it still doesnt hold the boost nice and flat like the EBC.
