Guys with synapse intercooler?
Hey everyone. I would like to see pics of your installed synapse intercooler with and without the bumper on. I would also like to see what you did to make the bumper fit with the ic on. I installed my on the weekend but my bumper doesnt line up right on the drivers side. I had to trim a **** load out of the inner bumper and its still not fitting right. I did get to keep my lower grill tho, and yes I checked and thats not the reason that it wont fit.
My ic doesnt sit tight under the crash bar either. There is like a 1/4 of an inch gap.
Also did you notice any slight vibrations in the lower rpms when you take off in first gear after the installation of the synapse ic.
Any tips on better fitment would be good. Also My IC is the new one with the reinforced end tanks so that add between 1/4- 1/2 inch to its thickness.

Its going to sit slightly lower....which means its more open to curbs (dont pull up to them). As for vibrations? No...I didnt notice any new vibrations added, but I already have OTTP Stage mounts which increased vibrations over stock in idle

the opening for the lower grill is hitting on the intercooler. Is this happening to anyone else? Did you have to trim the opening any
the bumper is up against the intercooler tight. Do you have any pics of where you cut the excess in the inside of the bumper

Hahn and Crazy Steve both use a larger core, and I'm sure both would require cutting into the bumper some. Hahn is a little larger and alot more expensive. Crazy Steves is a little larger, and around $200 cheaper. Dejon makes one as well, although they use the same core as Synapse if I'm not mistaken. I don't know of any that are smaller then Synapse, but bigger then stock though...

I did a small amount of trimming and kept my lower grille out and my bumper fits flawlessly. Just reach on up under there and find out where it's touching. Trim there and you're good.

I don't think I had to trim there. That's kind of odd. Is that the only place it's hitting? Also if it's hitting there and you have the lower grille in that's gonna just make the problem worse. I personally like the look of the IC staring down other cars.

idk maybe. I'd contact Synapse directly and ask them. I have their number if you need it. I've never heard of someone having it hit there.
