I've had this happen before, it kind of just goes limp for a second like its about to die out right?. Usually I notice this happens when my gas is low? Not sure.

I would take a look at your CAI if you have one. Turns out mine was pretty damn dirty.

I'm interested in seeing what the problem is, not sure if it was due to my CAI or not.

Was it raining? Do you have a CAI intake?
Mine used to do this when it was raining and it was from the MAF getting wet cause the rain water soaked my filter.

Sometimes when i accelerate in 3rd it almost feels like you described for about 1 second, almost felt like my clutch was slipping.

Same thing happens to mine when it rains. Ive always wondered what it is. It wont hit boost at all it just tries to die and falls on its face. so it could be the filter getting soaked?

It's definitely (almost) your filter getting soaked. Buy a new filter and make or buy a hydroshield
