ok so this is the story,

a couples of days ago my 5th gear was starting to give me problems, i was reading here and some people were having problems putting in the gears so i thought the car was being retarded... as of yesterday my 5th gear does not want to go in at ALL and i feel the shifter VERY loose... not normal... when i put it in any gear it feels wrong... my friend said it might be the syncross or something... i really have NO IDEA so please help me figure this out...

ps: i cant really take it to the dealer cuz i have FULL bolt ons and the infinite boost tune (switchable)

 

mess around with your shift linkage. mine was like that then i put a short throw in and played with the linkage now its great.

 

search for ralliartist's transmission roll pin thread. that might be it. can you do circles with your shifter?

Good answer. When I installed my TWM shifter I had a problem similar to this. I called TWM and they said to try adjusting the shift cables. I spent an hour of trial and error before I got it right but now it is the slickest shifter I've ever used. TWM is expensive but worth EVERY penny.

Subd. I'm also having the same problem, but its also just recently affecting my fourth gear.

 

Dealr wont care, shift linkage has nothing to do with anything you have modded, if you had a short-throw, it would be different.

 

so how would i fix the problem?
