help with dash computer warning after oil change

Hi guys, had my trusty local mechanic do my oil change; charged me half the price dealer asks for for mobil1 and what not. So it was an easy decision.

Except that at the dealer, they must reset the computer after an oil change or whatever; it's showing "verify oil" on the dash computer as if it hadn't been done. Oil level is fine.

Anybody know if there's some way I can get rid of it ?

ya push the 2 bottom buttons on the left side of the steering wheel down together till u get into options, either it will show up first or press info till u get to reset oil, then just press the enter or bottom button and there u go.

IDK about the SS/TC's but push the gas down to the floor three times, it should show 100% in a few seconds

Yeah, key on, motor not running, press the gas all the way down 3-5 times. Works on any GM that has the oil life monitor.

I'd never trust anyone else to change my oil and I bet he didn't even put mobil 1 in it...

Anyways, use the controls on the steering wheel as stated above.

To the OP, How much did you pay?

Between Mobil 1 and the filter you are looking at roughly $30 before labor and if he charged less than about $40 I'd be surprised.
