I know this works well with the srt 4's. would be nice to see on our cars, I already have the trifecta selectable tune and at the track I launch on 15 psi and switch to high boost. Kind of the same thing and works well.

I think it has 11.70's in it. He still has a few things he can do along with adding the c-16. I am going to shoot for 11's now. I was wondering do you think if I do a 50-50 mix 93 and 110 I will get any better results?

All I know is it took 3 years for someone to break it. Not sure on the turbo size.

I'm pretty sure its a Mitsu 16g. Used to have a 2004, with a few bolt ons (wastegate, stg 1 ecu, map clamp, w/i) put down 270 hp 330 tq to the wheels!

Turbo starts blowtorchin at ~23 psi.

so is this kit something that is realistic for the LNF? Only reason I ask is because of the rediculous ECM the cars have.. Would it send the ECM into a tizzy when it boost levels exceed what it is expecting to see? Plus what about fueling? I assume a pretty aggressive tune would be needed in conjuntion with this setup.. If an srt can get this sort of performance then why not an SS? maybe.. lol

well yeah i am noticing that at the top of third gear we drop a few pounds of boost if u have a true machanical gauge u will see it drops to 17 18 psi the srt-4s have the same issue. my friend at realtune performance has developed a duel stage boost controller that works with an aeroforce scangage and it allows u to hit ur desired boot and when it starts to drop boost it triggers the second boost controller to bring it back up to 21 22 psi. tunning issuse will be done through hp tunners seeing how these cars run rich in the top end.

The TD04LR-16Gk-6cm2 turbo (used on the turbocharged 2.4-L I-4 engine in the new PT Cruiser GT and SRT-4 Neon) is unique and not usable on our cars: the turbine housing is cast into the exhaust manifold, the impeller spins counter-clockwise, and the bypass valve is cast into the compressor housing.

According to our resident GM engineer Bill Duncan the Stage kit will remove the learn down but the turbo safeties remain. It limits to about 22-23. They're in the ECU and would have to be programmed out. Hope I didn't rain on your parade.

no i understand that but if u change ur boost gauge out for a mechanical one u will realize that the turbo loses about 3-5 psi of boost at the top of the gear this will trick the waste gate to hold more boost in the top end

I just made myself a boost controller, and plan to build it to a 2 stage controller with a switch in the dash soon.

The only problem with your idea is that the car doesn't adjust the fuel itself, you will have to tune for that... and I cannot think how you would tune for it, unless you get with vince and have a switchable tune hooked up to a WOT switch or your interceptor.

Yeah, I started thinking about it after I said that and realized my fault. Interesting. Wouldn't mind seeing this in action.

Except if you go outside the range of the stock map sensors. Therein lies dangerous ground if you are not careful.

yeah well i am using hp tunners to tune it and it will only be boosting 22 just in the top of the gear when it starts to drop it will trigger a dual stage and spike 22 again thus for keeping the power

Pressure shouldn't dictate the ecm's control of the afr, as long as it knows how much air the engine is inhaling though the maf it should keep the afr constant.
