High Coolant Temps?

After doing 3rd gear and up pulls, my coolant temps get pretty high like 215-225 degrees. They used to get to like 205 degrees top. I am combo tuned at 22-23 PSI, K&N intake, CP, DP and Treadstone IC. I rencently had the engine rebuit because I blew by the dealer if that has something to do with it.

Usually higher temps are caused by a bad radiator or stat most of.the time.

Thermostats fail open so therefore his coolant wouldn't be getting that hot

Turbo is water and oil-cooled...coolant temp will shoot up very quickly on 3rd and 4th gear pulls, even faster with more boost. That said, 225 is nothing. There is nothing wrong with your car.

Yep, when doing a hard 2nd or 3rd WOT pulls - temp spikes high.. its normal.

Wondering are your fans kicking in? if not, have your fan set to turn on at 188*, my temp stay under 193* all day in 85-95* heat, but once in a while - on really hot days 100*+ it goes up to 203* but stays there when the fan are on..

Once a year, every spring I do a complete rad flush and hose inspection, some say no need to, but better to be safe than sorry.. i've seen some radiators with funky stuff coming out of them, when they where being flushed..
