Well, I know there aren't many people on this site who know HOW to tune. AREA47 is one of the more intelligent tuners that I can actually have a discussion with where we take something away from it that we didn't know before. There are a few other ones here too, but not as prominent. Look at how long I have been here doing tuning, I was one of the first non-vendors to come out and do tuning and unlike the people who didn't know what they were doing I'm still here and still doing well. I also have no problem helping other people out who have questions. My PM box fills up daily with questions on how to help people tune their cars, and I have no problems sharing my knowledge with AREA47 either. I have nothing against him, I think he's actually cool as far as I know. There's no competition here, and not like either of us are going to get rich overnight doing what we do.
Early on there were a lot of people who just took the GM Stage tunes and would flash those onto people's cars and acted like they were tuners. Sure they changed stuff and made it their own, but they weren't really writing tunes. I write the tunes myself, that's why I offer good tunes for the 2.4L and the 2.0L T. That's also why other tuners don't touch those cars because they don't know exactly what to do without a cheat sheet or something.
I find it humorous that there are people on here who act like they hate me just because they think I am an ass or something. I don't think there are people who have met me that think that. I am a pretty cool dude, and I think I've had fun with a lot of the guys on this site. I've been fortunate enough to travel ALL over the country to tune your cars, and been in your homes shared beers in the bars, having you guys over to my house, etc. I enjoy being a part of this community as much as I enjoy tuning cars.
I haven't owned a cobalt for almost 2 years, yet I am still here helping and being a part of the community. I don't think I have even driven anyone's Cobalt aside from the dyno in 6 months or more. I also have the fun of working with the Sosltice and Skys all the time too.

My real job sucks. I am a college counselor. I also own Modular Muscle (a mustang parts and tuning store), Ecotec-Tuning.com (an ecotec tuning site), am the staff tuner and technical article writer for GMRoadster (national Solstice/Sky car club), and I also play drums in a band called Delirium Tremens (Experimental Rock group).
I tune 20-30 cars a month pretty steadily, so I see tons of people or sometimes just their ECM and I have no clue who the person is.
