Hm, So my MAP Sensor DIED....

So, I received two codes on Thursday before I went camping. A P0106 and a P0107 MAP Sensor Low Voltage and MAP Sensor Performance codes. Unplugged my upper MAP sensor and it made no difference in how the car ran what so ever. So since it looks like my upper MAP sensor just quit working the other day I guess I'm going to GMS1 maps.

are the GMS1 sensors better? Maybe due to the tunes people are getting it's too much for the standard set.

But I'm literally just guessing

Why is this site so slow today?

Anyway, so you're suggesting there is no really benefit to the sensors on GMS1

Here is a thread about those sensors...

https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/2-0l...ensors-225679/

I believe the stock sensors are supposed to be good to like 21psi and the gms1's are supposed to be good to 25+...

I see, so why are people going over 21psi, it seems like they're trying to break their cars.

There is no REAL benefit but I haven't seen people blowing those out yet!! Performance Autowerks has a great deal on the pair of them shipped with connectors

Remove sensor,, clean oil from sensor, reinstall sensor, see if that works.

Spray it down with electrical cleaner.
I have found that they are getting covered in oil.
If that doesn't work, it is only $50.
I can't get you the part number if you need

Alright, I'll do that. Was going to spray it with some MAF Sensor cleaner but that works too.

Well, I pulled it off and cleaned it down and the boost levels seem to be consistent now. Atleast as consistent as they were after I installed my DP. Slight possibility of a boost leak. Spiking to 24 then dropping to 20 and leveling off at 22-23. Guess I'll try deleting the code again tonight for the 4th time and see if it throws it again.

Just cleared the codes. Still getting a low voltage code on my map sensor but the map sensor performance code won't pop back up oddly enough. Car is running a lot better, I was getting lots of spark knock and crappy boost pressure curves before I cleaned it. It seems like it used to pull harder though so new MAP sensors will be ordered tomorrow from Performance Autowerks, they knocked their kit down to $76.
Edited: Nvm, I didn't add in the pigtails on the Autowerks kit.

Vince from Trifecta Says From My Datalogs I did that night:

Well, the GM engineers might like to see this. LOL

Your MAP sensor failed when you no-lift-shifted in the first log.

Everything else looks good, thanks for sending these in.
