diesel is a mother ****** to tune. i tried one. filled the shop with smoke, hit 52psi and egt's hit 2k degree's.

i put the original tune back in it. shut the lap top down and went the **** home.

kinda creepy man.

there is no great mystery to tuning. you have to know how the engine works and what equal and opposite reaction that one change will do to the engine itself. you have to figure out what your car wants. this is the main goal.

im a plastics process technician. I process injection mold machines all day. very much like tuning a car. like you said equal and opposite reaction. every move you make makes more changes than just the variable you changed. NOT so independant variables, is a chart i have taped to my tool box. same goes for tuning.

It isn't very easy, trust me. I have had hp tuners for atleast a month and I have done alot of research. Last night I lost 2 credits due to stupidity but it's all about learning. As iab said, it is a steep learning curve just figuring out how hpt works itself.
