How to make your LNF fast
Intercooler>Cat back
The stock cat back is 2.75 inches mostly.
Really don't worry about an intake honestly, it should go something like this:
Tune and downpipe at the same time. Mainly because you have to deal with fuel retuning or you will melt the cat. Then charge piping, after that everything is the icing on the cake.
And the restriction isn't the cats on the stock downpipe...it is the crush spot by the o2 sensors that is roughly two inches big.
The biggest thing is how aggressive your tune is. If you don't add a personal touch to the tune and let someone tune from across the country do your logs, you are missing out on the best parts of this engine IMO.
Anyhoo...intakes are NOT the end all and tell all people on this site would suck a dick for. They are NOT. Never have been. People just want more noise and would rather point out their awesome intake when they pop the hood rather than a stock box.
Louder does not equal faster.
More timing does

I have respect for your knowledge steve, however your downfall is cracking pitiful jokes to make the public laugh...
Im not on trifectas nuts. i have even stated numerous times that people can get a more agressive tune with a SKILLED hptuner. I guess thats unclear to you..oh well..
and to generalize Vince like that is pretty rude imo. please leave your negative comments out of my thread. i've given great opinions on both hptuners and Trifecta...its seems all the "hate" is coming from Hptuners swinging dicks, almost like they are threatend.
Like i said, keep it out of here. un-biased opinions only. i've listed both and their pros and cons..thats called unbiased..you are biased..stay out. If you want public giggles and laughs from mindless puppets go make your own thread.

Go back and read it and tell me again where I take pot shots.
There is nothing that compares to hands on tuning. Period. Whether it be by HPTuners, LS2Edit, or whatever you choose to tune with. If you get dyno tuned at Vince's shop, then THAT is better than him sending you a tune across the country. Period. That isn't an opinion, that's a fact. No other way to put it.
There are other companies that have done the invisible tune thing already for awhile now...and a lot of people wanna leave out Vector Motorsports. Why? I have no idea. The tri tune idea is awesome and being able to play with the overboost and command MORE fuel rail pressure is awesome. Note this in the grand scheme of things: When GM started making more power in the days of toying with the LNX(it was something along the lines of a 350hp Solstice Coupe GXP) idea, they used a different fuel rail. All is well until a high pressure line says enough is enough.
Another issue you have to look into with the whole LNX idea is that it was backed by a small truck trans. The F35 probably cannot hold up to a high power NLS with a strong clutch and sticky tires. There is a reason the race cars do not run a STS in em. IIRC it was because with STS's the drivers were shifting too fast and breaking boxes. Stop and think what you are asking of something that is roughly a third of the size of the engine before you get an uber clutch and sticky tires...because LSJ axles will probably break before a gear does...I have a strong feeling that it won't be the same on an LNF.
Honestly Term I agree that there is a ton to gain on an intake, but it isn't the make or break of fast imo(also the headache lol). Strictly opinion, before I decided I didn't want this car anymore it was the absolute next mod I was going with. What I think is needed is a completely enclosed cone, much like the GMPP intake kit for the new Camaros, to keep all the hot stough out.
First thing you should do is learn to read a whole post.
