How is your mileage on a tune?

Well I am wondering how your gas mileage is affected with an aftermarket tune on these cars. I am thinking of getting a tune in the future but drive somewhat a lot of miles to work everyday. I would like to know what people are getting on the highway about 70-75 and in town as well. Thanks in advance for the help.

unless you have a very aggressive tune you'll probably get better mileage than stock.

The heavier the foot the worse the mileage, its as simple as that. Plus more boost = more air which needs more fuel.

Well I'm already getting about 28-30, was wondering if it would go up or down much. My only problem is the on ramps!

It is the same as before

Stay out of boost and you get good MPG

In the boost, you are going to watch your MPG fall.

Good weather, flat surface, and consistent speeds between 40 and 50mph - I can get upwards of 50+mpg with my tune.

http://s256.photobucket.com/player.s...fs=1&os=1&ap=1

Now that the weather is freakin' freezing and the winter blend fuels have hit the pumps, I've taken up to a 20% hit in fuel mileage (i.e. that 50 is now 40).

Overall, I tend to average ~26 all of the time now. In the summer it was closer to 29 or 30. But, that includes MI highway speeds (~75mph).

I have been getting over 30 MPG. On a road trip, average speed was 67 MPH, and I averaged 33.7 MPG. I am very pleased with my Cobalt.
