HPTune Cold Start Issues

Any suggestions I can make to the shop that does my tuning? They are aware of the cold start issue with the new tables, but can't fix it without me leaving my car there, so is there anything that I could suggest they do with the cam tables to fix it, because I really can't just leave my car there. Other parts of the tune are fine, only issue is this. Thanks in advance!

If ure worried about it enable cat warmup. If ure shop dont have any clue how to fix it they dont need to be.messing around with cat warmup delete or tuning ure car period... Reason i say this is if they cant figure it out they dont understand what they are doing... If they dont figure it out tell them to enable cat.warmup.. Also they could raise engine coolant temp rpm limiter at idle till running temp..

i'm honestly not understanding your post....... you're having ISSUES with the cold start? what kind of issues? or are you just wanting the cat warm up thing turned off? if that's what you're talking about then i'll hit up M-Dub to see if he can do a print screen of it and email it to me and i'll forward it to Fran. it's VERY easy to turn off the cat warm up.

No, it's off, it just idles rough during a cold start, that's all. There were a few threads about it from other people. I was thinking about having them just put the cat warm up back on, it works good as a timer for my mornings. Lol.

I whole heartily agree. Find a tuner that knows what's what.

Cold starts can absolutely be made perfectly smooth with the cat warmup turned off. Most LNF tuners don't even know how to do it though so the chances of that shop being able to are pretty slim.

Hey Tom, I haven't forgotten about your email! Too busy fighting the naysayers on here. Trying to get some good info out sometimes just isn't worth the hassle. Hope everything is going well on the TA. We picked up a third Redline, we're into the LNF's deep now!
