Question Hybrid LNF Application

A Customer is wanting to put an LNF in his Sonic7. From my information we need a wire harness that deletes the Body Control Module BCM. Can any one help?

Building the harness is not the obstacle, it's any interfacing the PCM does with it via the CAN bus.

I would contact Lyndon Wester of wester's garage. He's done a good bit to decode this pcm. He may be able to help you get rid of the nessicary programming issue.

As BTF said the problem isnt a harness to delete the BCM, its getting the ECM to work without the info from the BCM and being able to access the ECM, the BCM is the "gateway" its the module that control all communication over the network. It would likely be easier to integrate the BCM into vehicle and weed out all the unnecessary circuits than it would be to get rid of the BCM

Intercooler

We need a smaller intercooler, the stock SS is to big. Can some one tell me the stock lNF CFM's are needed for the new intercooler.

OP: I am assuming a standalone would be the best option, though more expensive I would feel it would be easier than trying to hack out the BCM, or trying to integrate the BCM.

Please do not overlook my question above? ^^^^^^^^^^^

BTW we "think" we have figured out the Direct Injection / engine wire harness solution for our swap. I know we have heard that before. Our contact says it will work. We shall see. It looks promising

what area do you have for a FMIC ? i can take a look at a few sources i have to see what you can work with.. you'll need to tack on some custom brackets or just make some brackets using some standard L brackets from home depot

it looks like you have room for a 12 wide by 11 high idk how deep maybe 3.5" or so since it looks like you have alot of depth in the front grill area

if you can get some better sizes that would help..

also if you get the area of your opening and how much room outside of the grill area you have then you can detemine what you can use for cores/ endtanks ..

http://www.bellintercoolers.com/pages/AAMain.html

that place should be able to help you out once you take some dimensions

http://www.treadstoneperformance.com...ooler+Endtanks

that could also help

Talk with QwikRdline he has done some race LNFs in the past with a custom setup so no BCU connection was needed.

Qwikredline, sorry missed the "e"

Qwikredline is a great guy and knows his stuff. He built a lot of coblats for GM including the time attack cobalt. If anyone knows the stuff you need to know it is him.

If you do end up getting this running (which I'm sure you will), please post up anything you can share. LNF interests me on a couple swap projects.
