You broke two lifters on the one cyl? What side were they on (int/ext)?

Pull coil 4 and swap with another coil. If still on 4 pull plug 4 and swap with another plug. If still on 4 injector seal or injector or you cracked piston 4.

Okay, so a little update. Cyl 4 is f*cked. As far as info I currently have. I broke the two lash adjusters on the rear can if your staring at the front. From what I understand is the exhaust side. Now also from what I understand is since both of those were broken. When the car was combusting, the valves were not opening at all. Which means the combustion had no where to go except out the very minuscule time the intake valve was open and down, (through the rings) I'm assuming. And the car was running and firing for a while while we diagnosed the issue. So, the misfire. Happens as soon as boost builds above 8-10 pounds it's a very fast repetitive. Fairly consistent series of misfires until I reduce boost. If I'm under 8psi I can rev up as far as I want. And it won't misfire.. Also when I changed the spark plugs today to see if I could remedy it. The 4th one was a little more dark with soot then the rest, maybe even a little oily... Which is the symptom of a bad ring? Right? Idk feel free to chime in. I'm about to just bring it to chevy and be done with it... I bought this freaking car less then a month ago and have had so many problems with it. Boost issue cause on the crimped sensors. Bad evap solenoid. The list goes on. Albeit this one was my fault. With the over rev and such....

Yeah, that compression had nowhere to go, so it made pressure and heat, which likely melted a hole in the piston. Not sure why your compression test didn't show that.

Te compression test was one of the first things we did. So it was probably fine and while it was running afterwards it probably messed it up

Needs a leak down test done on 4 to confirm but yes you likely cracked your ring lands as well based on the plug looking oily and the misfires. Did you swap coils just to see?

This is what I was thinking. It was probably just the lash adjusters at first, which explains the compression test was fine. Should not have driven it especially under boost. That's likely when you fucked up the piston.

I didn't drive the car under boost when I broke the lash adjusters. Actually the car could barley drive at all. I drove it maybe a quarter mile to get to my buddy's house and I had to ride the clutch and go about 20 the entire way to keep the rpm low so it would tick very loudly. I only broke it under boost after I replaced the lash adjusters. And there was misfire. Oh well. I dropped it off at Chevy this morning. I have a 30 day warranty with the company I bought it through and I have a 3/36 I bought separate for like 2 grand. Hopefully I'll get my money's worth.

Rebuild time or a new LDK.

Don't take it to Superstition Springs, click on the first link in my sig to see why. Not sure about Brown in San Tan because they're also AutoNation. Chapman in Tempe is not AutoNation.

I brought it to superstition cause that's where I bought it from and I have my 30day warranty trough them. :/ they said it was an ignition coil on cyl 1 when the misfire was for cyl 4.

Yup that was mine. Thanks. It was sad letting it sit there. Hopefully you'll have some better luck. Don't let them jerk you around.

Could a bad coil pack cause the issue I was having?

You've got the warranty through them so they need to fix it. I don't know why the coil on cylinder 1 is the cause, but it's on them to find the cause and fix it. Don't let them tell you that you were "negligent" either. They seem to have a bad habit of doing that.

Well they took care of it, they tried to charge me a 100 dollar deductible because they tried to go through my after market warranty instead of their own 60 day warranty that was on the car. They actually tried to say that I didn't have a 60 day warranty to begin with. After having the sales manager pull up my deal he tried to act surprised and say he didn't know. My service advisor was tom lord. I don't know if you know him. Once I proved that I had a 60 day warranty they fixed it for free and I was on my way. The car runs and pull hard now. No weird misfires. I just find it strange that they found the issue on cyl 1. P0301 and my code was for cyl 4 p0304. Oh well.. It's fixed. I'm going to do a compression test on Saturday to see how well that one is holding. If it's significantly worse I'm going to start saving for a PDK lol

I'm still stumped on how cylinder 1's coil pack caused all this. But I'm glad it's fixed!

How do these look to you guys. The one that has the brown end was cyl 4 after the issue. And the one with the most black is the one on cyl four after we fixed the lash adjusters. It was swapped when we did te compression test on accident
