I'm so stuck on the way my car sounds now, I'm not 100% sure I want it to sound like Steve's(no offense to you Steve). Is his magnaflow straight through?

Yeah it's straight through

Corsa or Borla would be another choice

I'd have to listen to his car again to be sure, but first I'll see how I like it without a muffler lol.

What about stock muffler with no cat? I personally love the stock exhaust note, and the muffler won't hold you back power-wise.

That is what I would do. Buy a catless, see how you like it, and then decide to put on a muffler or not. All you can do is try different things to find out what you like. And if you like it dont listen to others.

I haven't filtered through all the crap so I will say this:

A catless downpipe with no muffler sounds loud during cold start up and under boost only.(overall it sounds good)

If you care about handing there is nothing better than the pedders springs. Period.

Really there isn't much more to do other than a tune and catless downpipe. You could go with an Injen hotside if you don't have any charge piping.

If you want more turbo noise a catless dp is the way to go that's for sure. Don't bother with an intake, just get a K&N drop in.

If you are worried about sound(i.e. being 'too' loud) get the Hahn catback with the downpipe. Downpipe? Get the ZZP one, it is a really nice piece and really straight.

You shouldn't have to be retuned, but there are benefits to retuning after throwing on a catless dp(turning off p0420 and the COT protection)

You like the way mine sounds. I have a muffler though if you could call it one LOL. Catless vs aftermarket catted is not that much louder I know because my Hahn DP was catted originally. IMHO muffler delete with catless DP is too raspy and nasty sounding. It would be a ton louder than it is now as the stock cats quiet it down a lot.

Oh with stock exhaust **** yeah.

I ran just a 14" magnaflow res with a catless DP for awhile...sounded really good.

Loud, but really good, and only loud when I got on it. No drone at all.

Yeah, I meant stock 2.5" CB. My "Muffler" is only 12" long 5" case. No resonator and it sounds really good to me.

rissa do the hotside CP.or an intercooler. ur intake box flows well.

I am telling you from playing...you get more turbo sound from getting rid of the cats than if you have any kind of intake.

That's a tuner's fault imo.
