I thought it was a 3" system just like mine or Hahn's. I got the newer much improved version of madrel exhasut systems exhaust. Mine fit great and it cost $200 less than Hahn's and it is 304 stainless not 409 high carbon steel wanna be stainless.

a tweak to the cold start lambda can be made to fix it, however a slight idle speed upage has a "less smell" effect as your pulse speeds increase thus they disapate over a larger area.
but honestly, thats the last thing to worry about. cat-less and a side exit on a friends car with no such gas smell on CS. on throttle its got a bit of a smell but it should, and its not bad. the leaner AFR also helps.
any who, a catless dp on your exhasut will sound pretty good in my eyes. I'm a fan of hearing the turbine chop and the extra pressure differential will allow for more torque to be made. more power as well.
if you had real gas in CA it would be even better :P

but thats besides the point.
a well composed idle table is worth a million bucks in the durability world. with the various internal engine issues that are inherent to the eco a few things are worth focusing on.
i idle the cars at 1200rev's until coolant temp has crossed the 110* threshold, its good for PCV action and cold start oil pressure. ramp into and out of this rpm point.
this along with zeroing out the cat heat tables and making the cold cam tables a bit more cyl pressure happy (not to much or she'll stumble on you) and you've got a car thats a bit more ideal IMO.
PM me back :P

muffler delete + catless DP = GARBAGE!!
Trust me, I had it and I welded the muffler back on within 24 hours. Your car will sound like an extremely pissed off lawn mower and it's quite embarrassing.
Catless DP and muffler on is PERFECT!

That is way I feel. I drove mine 15 miles to a muffler shop to have my new 3" CB welded at the muffler. It did not sound very good that way.
What else is there for this car? I have done that to the cat heating tables. It seems to make it run a little rough at idle. I wish I had enough control to get rid of the cold start compresor surge that that damn AEM intake causes. I have tried everthing I can with what I have avaviable to no avail.
it doesn't take much to get the car out of that egt happy, fuel crazy cal'd start up.
there's both cat heat cam tables and cold start. zero out the cat heat and move the cold tables more toward the warm (reference the warm as int/ext are in different planes of movement) the larger you make that move, in percent, the start up process becomes an equal percentage of warm start, however if the motor is truly cold both piston slap and blow-by increase the same amount untill warm.
