I'm scared

1100 miles
followed owners manuals break in to the word

after a warm start, 160 or 170 degree coolant their was some white smoke coming out of the exhaust, it was barely noticeable, but it was their, the outdoor temp was 60 ish, and my breath did not make smoke, although this smoke did look like the smoke that would be made when the temperature was so low your breathe is visible

their is some coolant on the roof of the resovior, and some bubbles on the roof, but none in the actual coolant just the roof
I opened the resovoir and didnt smell any gas
When driving, doesnt matter what im doing I have never seen this white smoke,
I also never saw it again since that one time, not even on other warm starts, or on the cold start i did after 5 hours of the car sitting

Should I be worried

It might be condensation in the exhaust finally dryin up (steam). Thatd be my guess. I noticed how much condsensation is in my exhaust after a few hrs when I did my downpipe swap. It looked like someone sprayed the inside of my downpipe with a water hose...

There wasn't any oil in the coolant was there? If the coolant is low add some and keep an eye on it.

Alright, I was already planning on keeping an eye on it,
, their is no oil in the coolant that I can see in the resovoir, looks like normal dex-cool to me, and no coolant in the oil, looks like normal new oil to me

I appreciate the responses so much everyone, anything more to give ideas on what it could be or,
questions that will help you guys figure out what it could be will be greatly appreciated

I'm not trying to say i dont believe you guys by asking for more replies, the moisture thing sounds possible, but I want to be 100%
sure, id rather know the bad truth, than be blissfully ignorant, at least on an issue like this, so any other possible reasons, or further
agreement that it is probably just moisture are appreciated,

All i can think about is moisture and head gasket, and i sure as hell dont want it to be the latter

The ploom of white smoke alone wouldn't bug me that much, but the the roof of the coolant resovoir
having some bubbles hanging from it, and condensation built up on it as well does kind of make me worry

If I just had one symptom but not the other I wouldnt be too worried, but both together makes me worry

If you don't get it again. don't worry....if your coolant level is stable..don't worry. It's probably external water source. I washed by engine down once and got white smoke out the tail tipe afterward (which ususally never happens).

yup.. it is fine , a lot of the new TC's throw CEL's for misfires and other stuff bugs in the machine all I can say , even I had a one time instance kind of like what he described only it gave me a power reduced message later finding out it was a misfire , I just don't think the car was fully used to the beat down yet ..

reset the battery and I haven't had a CEL that I didn't cause my self yet ...knock on carbon fiber

sometimes people get too worry, like myself. Many might believe the direct fuel injection "click noise" is a ticking time bomb ready to go off in a timeline.

im just worried because it seems like it could be a head gasket,
white smoke from the exhaust, condensation and bubbles in resovior,

I guess I should add it was raining for about 2 hours before i saw the smoke, that will probably further push people to the water in exhaust thing

I've seen this before after the car sat in the rain .... it's just condensation . You have nothing to worry about .

i dont get this white smoke thing, all exhaust from cars looks white to me all the time, or do u mean even whiter then that. As far as i know the smoke from my car at idle is always white and always has been, so has it been with every car iv owned and every car iv ever seen. Clearify white smoke like pictures or something.

^ dude drifting in the animgif -----white smoke

Loosing coolant and traces of oil/crap in the reservoir>>>NO BUENO. If you don't have that you should be fine.
